Comments on: ENLARGED ADENOIDS AND HOMEOPATHY

Hi there!My son is 21 months old and in the last two months he was down with high fever as a result of which we had to hospitalize him twice(May and June’10). He also had a ear infection and his CRP and WBC count was very high. He is also not eating properly, breathes through his mouth and his speech also is not developed(believe he should be speaking atleast 10 words now besides mama/dada).An x-ray was also taken and it showed an adenoid enlargement which the doctors mentioned was about 70%. Just today we showed him again to a doctor(ENT) and they suggested that the adenoids and tonsils needs to be surgically removed which I’m against. We would rather have him treated using homeopathy medicines. Please help us here.

my son is four he has enlarged adenoids and has suffered with glue ear for almost 3years which the hospital say has cleared up. He snores, constanlty breaths through the mouth and has problems drinking. his development has been delayed and is having difficulties communicating with speech. his been booked to have them surgicaly removed a road we’d rather not go down. pls help.

Hi Anjela,

My doctor told me that ideally we should avoid giving those things to kids which has artificial colors – like chocolates etc. and even if we give, then it is recommended that give your child a little warm water which clears and cleans the tonsels. Also would recommend giving him/her steam (plain steam) which will help in proper breathing… If your baby can go gargle then it will be good….

My daughter just turned 3 we noticed that after last time she got a cold about a month and a half she started breathing a lot through her mouth all the time, she breathes hard while asleep and keeps her mouth open.
This was the first time she got a cold that last almost 2 weeks. And she complaint about her ear hurting a little. She has only had about 3 little colds no fever since she was born.
We took her to the doctor to check on that breathing through the mouth and phisicly he said she seemed fine he didn’t see anything. And recommended to have an xray done, the results showed an enlarged adenoids and the specialist recommended surgery to remove it and her tonsils too! Which I though it was not necesary!
I would do anything possible before I had to do surgery!
What are my other possibilities here?
What are my choisses before having my baby under for surgery?
Please help!

Hi,

My son was having adenoid and tonsels both. As he was 4 years old we were scared to go for operation. Someone told us that homeopathy has a cure for this and hence we can avoid operation. we consulted a famous homeopathy doctor and after taking homeopathy medicines my son got some relief and his frequently catching of infections stopped. But after a year of treatment his problem of adenoids and tonsels did not go away. Infact he had an ear infection which was not visible and was detected in some audio related tests. After seeing the test results, our alopathy doctor recommended us operation and we had to get him operated because he had 40% hearing loss due to infection in ears. Our surgen told us that if some organ grows in your body then homeopathy cannot bring down its size. Homeopathy is good to control infections but may not help in adenoids. I personally realized that going for operation was a good decision in our case and wont recommend operation unless the child is 5 yrs old.
