CONSTIPATION AND HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT

Though there are more than 100 homoeopathic medicines for treating constipation, Alumina, Bryonia, Nux Vomica and Opium Graveolens are the most commonly indicated.
Alumina (the crystallised double sulphate of aluminum and potassium) is very often asked for in treating constipation where the expulsive powers of the bowels are weak and the patient requires straining hard before even soft stool is passed. It is a good medicine for the constipation of bottle-fed infants. Infants cry before passing stool, which at times resembles sheep dung (sheep stool comes in the shape of balls).
Bryonia is an effective medicine. Some homeopathic rationists preferred to call it “dry-onia”. It is quite suggestive that this medicine is for dry and hard stool, which is very difficult to pass. Nux Vomica is a remedy for constipation related to modern lifestyle, constipation resulting from rich stimulating food, abuse of alcohol, etc. It is used to treat constipation where the patient is not able to evacuate the bowels in one attempt and usually feels satisfied in not less than two attempts.
Opium Graveolens is also a medicine made from opium which is very effective in treating constipation after abdominal surgery and after delivery. It is also good for the aged whose intestines have lost quite a bit of their motility (movement).
Alumen should not be confused with the above-mentioned Alumina. Alumen is used for the severest form of constipation where the patient has to go on for days without passing stool.
If indicated, 30c potency of the above-mentioned medicines can be used four times a day till substantial relief occurs. A word of caution: do not mix or use more than one homoeopathic medicine at a given time.
My symptoms are more related to Nux vomica. Iam having the piles problem not bleeding but a bunch is there at anal .
so what is recommended medicine with Nux v.

I would like to discuss my problem with you :- Iam suffering from Constipation , low digestion and low appitite from last 3 months .And Infact Constipation from childhood, due to this my weight also start falling . No pain in stomach

I am suffering from IBS since 1985.Many Doctors has prescribed many medicines(Allo & Herbal).Result:Sometime I feel good but again symtoms reappear.Why?I am already 58 yrs.Is there any treatment which can give me a permanent relief! I don’t feel like staying with the family with health problem.If I fall sick I may become a burden to my SON who has just completed Engineering and is at service.He has a long way to go.

but since the last 15 days her constipation is at worse. The stools are rock hard and i have been giving her duphalac…earlier it used to work but since around a week even this is not working. Kindly recommend me some homeopathic medicine for relieving constipation.
My baby is 10 months old, (she was born in the 34th week) and since her birth only she is facing the problem of constipation. she is from birth bottlefed…she recieved mother’s milk only for about 4 months and that too wasnt enuf so had to put her completely on formula milk. We are living in Munich and I fear the water here is one of main reasons for her continuous constipation also she is very stubborn in drinking milk, water or anything or even eating enough.

i am 40 year old meningomylocele man ( having leg diformity) since birth.
but for last three month i am suferring from chronic constipation
due to that constipation i have piles problem
i got treatment of gastro ( MD) Doctor they gave me cintpro 1mg
and loose liquid 3 time & 1time respectivlly in a day
but problem is sever. it cant work. in ayurved doctor gave me ayurvel powder
but it solve the problem for 2 days due to black pepper in it
it cause mouth ulcer and severe urinary track infection
so tell me the treatment in homeopathy

As suggested Opium graveolens, seems to be no medicine in homeopathy. The correct name is opium a product obtained from the fruits of Papaver somnifera. graveolens is species of other generic plants like Apium, Ruta etc. No one can get Opium graveolens at homeo stores. Store manager will give Opium or Apium graveolens (if he has this rare preparation).
i did hand practice at the age of 13 up to the age of 15. after 15 i never did hand practice even then after leaving the bad habbit of hand practice i m suffering fron the problem of nightfall,gastic and constipation since the age of 16. Now i m 45. i m married having 2 kids. felling very week now. underweight. weight is 49 height 5.5 inch. tired very soon doing a private sitting job. feel pain at the back all the time. prefer to stay alone every time. always in anger.always confused.want to sleep for a long time cant satisfy my wife’s sexual desired because i m already dischared after every 2-3 days my cheeks getting inside. feel life as burdon.Irritated always.My hair getting white day by day.Used many medicines. but now using homoeopathic medicine since one year from a private clinic but still nightfall,gastic and constipation problems continuing.Respected doctor ji please specify some effective homoeopathic medicine so as to save my life.

My 31/2 yr old little boy has suffered from constipation since June 2009. He has been on various mediacation from his doctor such as- Lactulose, Senna, sodium picosulfate and now movical. I fell he has been greatly physcologically affected by the trauma of passig a stool, that now i don’t know whether he is trying to hold it in or that his bowel has become too lazy. Previous occaisions he has not had a bowel movment for 11 days, but doctors has not shown this is off great concern! We have previously been prescribed suppositories to use on him which caused great trauma. He has a good diet, drinks plenty of fluids and very activie. He was referred to a paediatrician who insists it will just take time, however i am loosing my failth in conventional medication. I am worried their is an underlying problem with his digestion of food. It would be much appreciated if you could give me some advice on Homeopathic medicines that i could try.
