Do you feel sad tired worried all the day? And are these feelings lasting for more than few days? If yes than you could be suffering from depression. Although life is full of emotional ups and downs and such ?low feelings? are a part of common human experience
but when these feelings increase in duration and intensity and an individual is unable to function as usual, they take the form of an illness often called as Depression or Clinical Depression
In the initial stages or in the milder forms or in people who are not aware of the disease, depression can go unidentified till its implications become too obvious. People often overlook it as a mere ?low mood? or some start assuming it as a part of their psychological makeup. Even families or spouse start accommodating accordingly, thereby making identification of depression all the more difficult.
What are the signs of depression?
Following are the symptoms of depression and if three to five or more of the following symptoms which persist for more than 2 weeks, there are chances that one might be suffering from depression.
Persistent low or sad mood, Loss of interest or pleasure in activities including sex. Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, helplessness, hopelessness, pessimism .Sleeping too much or too little, often feeling tired and feeling “slowed down?. Suicidal thoughts and attempts. Restlessness, irritability, anger and excessive weeping. Having difficulty in concentrating and application of mind.
What are the causes of depression?
There can be different reasons for different individuals suffering from it. Changes at the biochemical levels in the brain are responsible for some forms, People having too much or too little of these bio-chemicals called ?Neuro-transmitters? can lead to depression. .Genetic factor also plays an important role in the causation. Difficult life events e.g. loss of loved one, divorce, financial problems etc. can contribute to the onset of depression. Nearly twice as many women as men are affected by a depression. Depression frequently co-occurs with other physical illnesses, including heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes Alzheimer?s.
Treatment with Homeopathy
Clinical depression is very much treatable with homoeopathy. Early treatment is more effective and helps prevent the likelihood of serious recurrences. Homoeopathic medicine Ignatia Amara, leads the homoeopathic table in treating depression. For patients requiring Ignatia, the key indications are
Persistent dull mood, inability to enjoy, tearful, non communicative and withdrawn. It is very useful in depressions arising after grief and mental shocks. I’m sorry you’re feeling so badly. Have you considered Aurum Metallicum? Usually sucidal ideation is a factor in choosing this remedy from what I’ve learned. Of course, continue working with your psychiatrist, but let him know you’re interested in trying homeopathy to accompany or even eventually replace your medications. Consult a homeopath for more guidance.

I am a 26 year old man and i am suffering from depressoin for last three years. I didn’t take any action till last year because i could not identified the lack of mood as a dipression. For last one year, i have been consulting a docter, which initially felt me relief, but now doesn’t seem to be working. The whole day i feel depressed and my self confidence have become very less. only solution for this is if you find anything which makes you feel tough,not possible just don’t do it. Just try to do some thing which helps in your mood.
Be active, try to mingle with people, just tell everything which you want to tell to somebody who will listen to you. Just don’t think what’s going to happen tomorrow just live for this moment. Try to enjoy every moment of your life,life is precious. Forget that you’re depressed, just try to be like a bird.

PHystiricts. i took 2 time short, i was in saudi arabia 15 years back, there i feel depression. i left my job and back to india. then i again went to u.a.e. Im 24 Year old man. I m newly Married before 10 Months. I was diagnosed with depression two years ago. I am 74 years old, health and very high energy. When I plummeted into depression I did not know what semi-truck had struck me down. I am not sure what the cause, but the fact that i am the major care giver to my husband who has been in a dementia since 2003.
the point of my question is that at this time, I am having dental implants placed to replace old dental work. the orthodontist has had me discontinue the use of the anti depression. The process of the implant adhering to the bone is interferred by the antidepressant.
He has suggested that I look into a homeopathic replacement while all this work is being done (probably 8 months).
