Sir, I am a lawyer working at High Court, Lucknow and a very meritorious student having topped in LL.B. and LL.M. examinations. I started realising tightness specially in my calf muscles in the year 2005 after passing through a five years long phase of stress. I was unable to understand the reason behind the tightness and pain in my legs and initiation of health problems started in January, 2007 by going through when there were stomach disturbance / vomitting and skin roughness in my foot. The physician asked me for a detail blood pathological test and suddenly everything appeared e.g. high cholestrol levels, blood sugar, acidity/collitis etc. I was on the medication and when in July 2007, my left leg started feeling heel pain, I rushed to several orthopedicians / physiotherapist alongwith Cardiologist since my cholestrol levels / sugar was not in control. It was found by a Physiotherapist after two months of exercise in January, 2008 that it was a neurological tightness and I was advised to consult a Neurologist. Thereafter, I consulted several Neurologist in Lucknow/Delhi, in VIMHANS (Delhi) but no one was able to diagnosis the cause of the tightness as every test carried out was normal. Finally I consulted at Fortis Hospital, Noida where again test were made out (EMG & other test), but everything was normal. The Neurologist started my medicine GABAPENTIN on the assumption of Channelopathy, alongwith supplements of calcium / vitamin-E etc. It is relevent to mention that the heaviness in head/ headache/ lethargy/giddiness was treated by a senior Phystriatist at Fortis Hospital, Noida, giving antideprission medicines such as VENLOR XR 75, SENSIV AL25, RIVOTRIL 0.5 MG etc. The treatment of Cardiologist for control of high cholestral / blood sugar etc. was in regular continuation The muscles tightness which was released daily by a qualified Physiotherapist at Lucknow started some signs of relief with GABAPENTIN (Treatment of Neurologist) till March 2009 (reliefupto 60%), after which it became stagnant. Some tests such as LDH, CPK & Resting Plasma Lactate were made out which were much higher in value. On my compalint of down fall of relief, PREGABID ME-75 was started in place of GABAPENTIN on 13.05.2009. Again in June, 2009, several tests including MRI of brain and survical were made, but the down fall which started inspite of regular medicine and physiotherapy slashly fell from July, 2009 to Oct, 2009 from 60% to 10%. Another symptom for the past 1 year was spreading of tightness of muscles in neck, abdomen, sholder and stomach muscles. Sleeping disorder with severe weakness in the body alongwith heaviness in head and emptyness of head was also enhancing. Some times I was not able to even stand due to pain, cramps and weakness in calf muscles. The goldenera of my legal career is on the threshold as I was not able to concentrate & Letharginess in whole body made me lying on the bed for hours daily. In Oct. 2009 the assumption of Channelopathy / Stiffness was made a question mark by the Neurologist and he started thinking of FIBROMYLGIA giving PRE GALIN 75/150 MG alongwith ZYLENO FORTE and antidepression medicine. At present, the tightness of muscles and other symptoms mentioned above are at their extreme. There has been no option else left with the patient now.
