Come winter and sinusitis is on the rise again. It?s a very miserable situation for those who are sensitive to cold weather and are prone to sinusitis.
The constant sensation of blockage and stuffiness in the nose, face and, forehead, dripping of mucus into the throat, headaches, sore throat and fever can put one?s life totally off the track.
Homoeopathic is very effective in curing acute as well as chronic sinusitis. Sinuses are hollow spaces in our skull (bony structure of the head and the face). There are four pairs of sinuses in our skull. These spaces are linked with the nose for free exchange of air by an opening in the nose. It is usually when this opening gets blocked by swelling in the nose due to common cold or allergies that the symptoms of sinusitis develop.
The trapped air and mucus in the sinuses may lead to infection and inflammation which results in pain and blocked sensation. In acute sinusitis, the infection is usually due to bacteria. Most people usually have harmless bacteria (Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae) present in their upper respiratory area which do not cause any problem until one?s defences are lowered or when the normal mucus discharges from the sinuses are blocked. It is these bacteria that cause infection whenever there is trapping of air and mucus.
Chronic sinusitis (inflammation in the sinuses for more than two months) is not usually due to infection. It is mainly inflammatory in nature and is usually due to nasal allergies or other underlying diseases such as asthma.
The classical symptoms of acute sinusitis include heaviness and pain in the face over the area of the infected sinus, nasal congestion and discharge, postnasal drip, sore throat, headache, cough, fatigue and fever at times. Chronic sinusitis has nearly the same symptoms as those of acute sinusitis but is usually stretched over longer periods and is of lesser intensity.
In treating chronic sinusitis, homoeopathy also aims at strengthening the patient?s constitution and eradicating the underlying conditions such as sensitivity to cold air, nasal allergies and asthma which are often behind chronic sinusitis. Homoeopathy offers a safe and a natural treatment for sinusitis.
A great advantage that homoeopathic treatment offers along with the treatment of sinusitis is that it also strengthens your immune system, thereby preventing you from recurrent attacks.
What homeopathic remedy would you use for Haemophilus and Aspergillus of the sinuses
I have lost my sense of smell for the past 5 months. I sometimes smell just for a minute or two and then i again stop smelling. Sometimes I feel like my nose is conjested. I have been using Otrivin Nasal Spray but there is no change. Please help me what should I do?
I have persisting head aches,one nose is getting blocked most of the time.(esp. when i go to sleep)., thoat ache, ear ache, dust allergy post nasal drip and feels tired at times.

I Have got OCD Due to Allergy Rhinitis Problem from last 3 years. My Doctor of OCD Said that unless my Allergy is totally cured my disorder will not curred 100% . I Think this Allergy Rhinitis will not cured is that…………

I feel Ihave sinusitis. I always get thick nasal discharge. During nights nose will block. Some times I get snoring. During day I feel drowsy. If I concentrate on any thing I feel sleepy. cold water aggravates. cold things, clod breeze , coldness of any thing aggravates. Often I blow my nose without discharge.

dear dr, i’m actually a medico studying 2nd year in pondicherry if u dont mind,how would u claim that homeopathy is more effective than allopathy.please dont misunderstand me.because,i heard dat ‘allopathy medicines temporarily supress the disease where as homeo medicine permanantly flush out the disease responsible organisms out of the body through excretory products ‘.moreover i tried many drugs for chronic sinusitis and also homeo.but of no use.recently i was adviced by an elderly n so called experienced ENT specialist to under go surgery.i just want to know ur advice too. thank you n concernd regards

My son is 4 years old. He had a clear music for 10 months and for a month he has green , yellowish mucus from nose in the morning but thrught out the day it is clear. The ENT took a culture of his mucus in the nose and the results came that he has a heavy growth of streptococcus pnemoniae. He is on antibiotics for over a month now and they are not helping to reduce the mucus or make it less green. The doctor keeps on changing antibiotics from augmentive to amnicef and then back to augmentine. This is the first time he is taking antibiotics. Please help, I want to try to to do something homeopathic for him. and do you know of any sprays in the nose that can help him with out harming him. I dont want to use steroinds or afrin on him anymore. Please help!!!
