In year 2004, there were more than 28 million prescriptions written by American Physicians for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder drugs (ADHD) and within 4 years only, this number grew from 28 million to 39 million. The federally funded large study conducted by “The Washington post” for adhd confirmed that despite of the soaring numbers of ADHD drugs prescribed for children, the differences between those who were medicated continuously to those who weren’t were zero. When a medicine that can cause harmful systematic effects like causing reduction in child’s height, one has to admit that these drugs can also produce some other considerably serious effects on their lives.

Therefore it makes sense for doctors and patients to find out safer ways of treating ADD/ADHD symptoms before choosing conventional drugs. Homeopathic medicines are a safer alternative and there are many studies that have confirmed great results and safer cures. However, at present, there are only few studies testing homeopathic medicines for their effectiveness and not all of them have confirmed the efficacy of treatment. Safe homeopathic medicines and studies showing benefits of homeopathic care are reasonable enough for one to consider them before resorting to over the counter medicines and harmful therapeutic measures. More researches and studies are certainly warranted in the coming time.
