My husband has very poor blood circulation as blood is thickening and on reaching the aorta has difficulties to get the blood through. In this case when the blood reaches the brain it microscopically touches is and leaves a micro scar. This started about 8 years ago, and was prescribed blood thinners. which in a way kept the blood pressure low. He was for the last 5 and a half weeks in hospital, and was discharged last tuesday. I checked his blood pressure every 4 to 6 hours, he was back last Tuesday, and what I am seeing is that his blood has gone to 11o, and goes up and down. Right now he’s sleeping all the time, but I managed to make him eat some cereals this morning, and a small portion of chicken and white rice with green peas. As sweet I gave him a small portion of a cake with strawberries and blackcurrants. Has been difficult, before he ate very well. I made him do some leg exercises on the bed, slow first and a bit fast after. And he is back to sleep, can’t keep his eyes open. He has been given two different medicines for his low blood pressure, but nothing to push it up. A number of times has been taken by the ambulance to Barnet Hospital for this condition, but when we arrives at the hospital, being the emergency dept. it takes hours to be seen. Of course that affects anyone. The problem is that inveriably he’s sent home after examination. But it takes only few days to start again. ………………………
For the past 8 years my husband has been suffering from blood thickening, hence poor circulation. Initially diagnosed as beginning of Dementia. Eventually with the patches given him hallucinations, was taken to hospital, and the Cardiology dept. diagnosed him as having his blood thickening, which when reaching the brain leaves a microscopical scar in the brain. This slowly afftecting his brain. So patches and medicine were withdrawn, and I consulted Helios Pharmacy which served me well for over 40 years. He was prescribed Barita Carbonica and Anacardium Orientale, in a potency of 30, which worked extremely well for the past 6 years or so. Not helping much now for the past 6 months. Patterns are changing now, blood pressure can be very low, and he hasn’t given him anything for that the except water, and a sweet biscuit when it happens.A number of time the ambulance rushed him to hospital, but the waiting is terribly heavy, 8 hours to 10 hours. Eventually blood taken for tests, and ending with going home as there is nothing much the hospital can do. I am reading the least of homeopathic medicines suggested, and wonder if Barita Mur can help or and Naja and Viscum Album. For many years we were patients of Dr.Peter Fisher at the Royal homeopathic Hospital in Russell Square, but I am sure you must have heard that in 2018 he tragically got killed by a track trying to over take it in the Holborn Roundabout. I don’t think we will ever recover from that loss. Since we try to do our best. I hope you can answer this message soon. I panic when I check his blood pressure, which is quite often, and see Systoic 108. Right now managed to push it on with water and honey, and biscuits. I don’t know if Barita Carbonica and Anacardia can help, but I will give them to him. I would greatly appreciate if you can reply to my message. This is very worrying. Sincerely, Leda Schoen
Since last week when I wrote the above too long message my husband was again admitted to Whittington Hospital, with the same problem of blood pressure going down to 78, which has been urgently treated, and from what the nurse told me it is more or less OK now. One good thing this time is that he won’t be released now until he gets now morning and evening two carers instead of one. And for middday only one carer instead. He also be supplied with a hoist so that he can be easily lifted from bed encourage him to stand up. The double bed he used for the past 4 years will be changed to single . Otherwise the double has been causing problems, first he coils in the middle of the bed, affecting his back and neck, and pushing his feet against the front panel of the bed, hurting his toes to a point of injury.
