Top 8 Homeopathic Remedies For Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

When one feels a constant feeling of being tired physically and mentally, it is referred to as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). Also known as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, it feels as if the body’s vital systems are switched off or are working on a low battery. A new term has been introduced to describe this syndrome – Systemic Exertional Intolerance Disease (SEID). It is diagnosed when one feels extreme tiredness for at least six months. The person is unable to do daily routine activities, with no explanation for the underlying medical condition.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome can treated effectively with natural homeopathic medicines. They help in managing this disorder by increasing the stamina and the threshold for bearing fatigue against a particular level of exertion. These remedies also re-energise the body’s immunity and pull out the person from extreme physical or mental weakness. They provide long term relief in CFS cases by addressing the root cause if taken regularly under the supervision of a homoeopathic doctor. Homepathic treatment helps significantly in reducing dependency on conventional medicines to a great extent.

Why consider Homoeopathy?

1. Boosts self-healing mechanism of the body

There is a self-healing mechanism in the body to fight and overpower any medical exigency. Homeopathy helps in boosting this mechanism to deal with CFS effectively and overcome it naturally. In this way, one witnesses relief in the symptoms of the disease followed by gradual decrease in the intensity and frequency of recurrent episodic symptoms till the time it goes away completely.

2. Individualized treatment

While prescribing homeopathic medicines for any disease like CFS, homeopathy follows the principle of individualization. After assessing the person’s symptoms, homeopathy selects the most appropriate remedy,   rather than prescribing the same medicine for all persons suffering from CFS. This individualized approach of treatment leads to great recoveries in CFS cases.

3. Safe and Natural treatment

Homeopathy is a natural healing system that treats CFS without any harmful after effects. As homeopathic medicines are sourced from natural substances, they are gentle and highly effective in treating CFS. These remedies help in restoring the body’s overall healing mechanism, bringing natural recovery.

    Dear Dr. Sharma:
My daughter is 51 yrs. has been diagnosed with ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which she has had for the past 6/7 years. She is suffering from all aspects of ME/CFS including heart palpitations. She is tiny in stature, weighing approximately 80 lbs. extremely small appetite and has difficulty digesting her food. She suffers from chronic insomnia, chronic migraines and headaches, and of course extreme fatigue. She has been suffering for many years with various health problems e.g. 20 years with chronic pelvic pain, and about two years ago, had a total hysterectomy. However, the pelvic pain still persists. She had to give up her job, as concentration and brain fog etc. caused her to forget easily and the pains and fatigue/tiredness, was debilitating.

She has tried many alternative treatments/medicines for the pelvic pain etc. e.g. Chinese, naturopathic, homeopathic, acupuncture etc. etc. in Canada, all without any cuccess.

I am hoping you will be able to help her, any assistance you may be able to offer, will be much appreciated.

    Thank you

  5. Hello Dr. Sharma,

I am a 39 year old male a seemingly complex condition. My platelet count is below normal, reduced C3,C4 values, + ANA, recurrent episcleritis, my hormones are unbalanced with cortisol and free testosterone values that are usually very low with periods of very low energy (mostly morning and mid afternoon) and evolving depression. Rheumatology assessments indicate it is not Lupus at present ( no other diagnosis given but agree there is abnormality). I have had periods of chronic stress for years which have resulted in an evolving anxiety issue. I have had testing done which may indicate biofilm development (chronic infection) but no specific organism can be noted (Lyme testing negative – of course not 100% sensitive). I have highly elevated cytokine profile indicating chronic inflammation but with poor cytokine response to infection. I have tried chinese medicine, homeopathics, western medicine etc with limited success.

I believe chronic infection together with elevated long term stress has imbalanced my immune system and my HPA axis creating my evolving symptoms. I would greatly appreciate your insight for a starting point for treatment. thanks in advance

  7. My fatigue began after a flu three years ago. I am a 42 yr old female. Could you suggest any remedies. Thanks

  8. I came across your article and was wondering if you might be able to make some recommendations. In Nov 2009, I came down with a bad case of the FLU, possibly swine flu. I couldn’t recover from it. It took 2-3 months before getting back to normal. During the flu and to today I am experiencing bouts of fatigue. It comes on very suddenly, I feel so EXHUASTED that I am struggling dearly to get through the day. I am 42 yr old female from the U.S in general good health. I have had a pituitary adenoma removed 12 years ago and on 10mg hydorcortisol replacement. Even increasing the steroid doesage by Dr. recommendation the fatigue doesn’t go away. I was recommended Phosphorus, Cal Carb and Lycopodium by a homeopathy 30C, two hours apart one dosage. It seem to have helped alot. I started taking these remedies a year and a half ago. However, from time to time I get the suddent onsent of fatigue. I would also like to mention that I only sleep a few hours a night. Do you agree with this remedy or is there anything else you can recommend. if so, how do i take the remedy, daily etc… Thankyou, Sandra
