Dyspnea
Difficult breathing (Dyspnea) – Dyspnea or shortness of breath tends to appear in asthma from narrowing of airways. Tightening of muscles surrounding the airway and inflammation that causes swelling of airways leads to contraction of the airways. There is also excessive mucus production.
Chest Congestion
Chest tightness and congestion also occur as a result of asthma.
Fatigue

Some tips to manage asthma in children include:
- Reduce exposure to allergens.
- Keep pets away from the child if he/she is allergic to pet dander.
- Pollen allergies should be managed by keeping the child indoors and keeping the windows closed during high pollen season.
- Allergies to dust mite can be managed by washing the bedding in hot water at least once a week. Removing floor carpets from home and not using too many stuffed toys during play also help minimize allergies.
- Excessive exercise and playing should be avoided.

After 2 days when cough turns to wet type with lot of wheezing sound and congestion in the chest, nose discharge becomes very thick greenish. He is not even able to expell it out through nose forcefully he becomes so weak by now, sometimes vomits it out after coughing. this continues for 5 to 8 days. At times he gets fever thats when antiboitic starts , along with inhalers.
We had switched over to homoepathy since last 4yrs, with so many medicines like Allium cepa 30 & 200, nat mur30/200, kali mur30/200, nat sulp 30/200, kali bitch 30/200, merc sol 30/200, spongia30/200, dorsera 30/200, Antim tart 30/200, pusitilla 30/200 etc, arsenic album, ars iod, cal iod and what not etc
But still he gets such type of attacks every 2 -3 months. when homeopathy can not handle his situation, we switch over to allopathy. Allopathy doctors say he has cough variant asthama, there’s no other remedy other than these inhalers and incase of fever, antibiotics also are introduced along with inhalers.
My question is, how has homeopathy helped my son in reducing his problem. He still gets the same kind of attacks and every time same episodes repeat. nobody gives him an appropriate remedy. Homeopaths also fools us saying it increases his immunity, severity of illness decreases frequency decreases and what not crap, the doctor try to take out maximum money from us,thats it. Please tell me one thing, does homeopathy really cures or its just a patchup work. Allopathy clearly tells this is the line of treatment for Asthama, but homeopathy keeps us hanging around.

My 6.5 year son is having extreme cough,wheezing from the age of 5 months.Later on doctors said that it is asthma and he was given sereflo 125 inhaler and montek lc kid tablet at the age of 1.5 year.After 3 months I stopped montek lc kid and continued with sereflo 125 but still he had the asthma attacks,coughing all day,puking out,running nose,itching eyes and breathlessness and then antibiotics had to be given every 15 days .after the age of 5 yrs we went to homeocare,a homeopathic clinic in Mumbai after which the inhalers stopped working on him and montek lc kid started working and doctor said it is allergic rhinitis,but there was no relief with that homeopathic treatment.Now from 4 months dr batras treatment is going on,now his lungs are clear but he has running eyes and running nose and I have to give him montek lc kid in every 22 hours,if not given he goes on coughing with wheezing and breathing problem,now he is 6.5 years.please suggest me something.iam really tired of his sickness and want to stop the intake of montek lc kid too.inspite of dr batras treatment I have to take him to an allopathic doctor and give antibiotics every month.please him my child get rid of this disease forever.hope u see ur reply.

I am mother of a 3.5 yr old son who has been diagnosed as asthmatic for the past 1 year. Everytime he catches cold he ends up wheezing and has been taking the Neb with Albuterol and Buedosonide. But I am looking to move towards Homeopathy for Asthma since I don’t want him to be on strong medications all the time. I am new to the homeopathic treatment, I have a 19 mth old daughter whom suffered from rsv at around 13 months and had a constant cough after that, she also has pretty much always been congested. I finally took her to an allergist and he did an allergy test and shes allergic to mold and feathers, she was also diagnosed with cough variant asthma. I have been using drosera 30 for about 5 days and notice a slight change, how long does it take to see results?? Also what is another recommendation? I also just got bio allers mold,dust,and yeast allergy homeopathic and been using it since yesterday, not really any improvement. Any advice would be appreciated.

my girl child aged 41 /2 yrs is suffering from asthsma since last 2 yrs. She was on steroids treatment for 1 yr which improved the situation and minimised her weezing problem so by eventually reducing the dose her doctor stopped the medicine. But with the onset of cold weather or say climatic changes her coughing problem again started. She is very active child, she dances participates in sports and has no problem with that but she is prone to climatic changes specially cold weather.
One peculiar thing is that when she coughs continuously suddenly when we divert her mind or busy in dancing she syops coughing.
