HYPERACTIVE KIDS AND HOMEOPATHIC TREATMENT

According to a study published in The British Homoeopathic Journal in October, 1997, children afflicted with ADHD were given either a homeopathic treatment or a placebo. Those receiving homeopathic medicines showed significantly more improvement than those given placebos. The homoeopathic medicines found most helpful for ADHD were Stramonium, Cina and Hyoscyamus Niger. Stramonium was specifically indicated when children had many fears, or suffered symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. The children who were physically aggressive benefited the most from Cina, and, children with manic or sexualised symptoms responded favourably to Hyoscyamus Niger
Homeopathic prescribing is generally based on idiosyncratic characteristics of an individual but if one medicine is to be favoured for treating a large number of ADHD(attention deficit hyperactive disorder) cases, Tarentula Hispana should be that one.
Hyperactive kids requiring Tarentula often have extreme restlessness and compulsion to hurry. Their legs are in motion, and they have a lot of trouble sitting still. The desire to run about, the urge to dance and to jump up and down are usual for them. Great, fantastic dancing! Loss of all sense of shame. Violence is a strong feature of the remedy ? violence with anger! His clothing strikes him. He strikes his attendants and best friends!
One more symptom that distinguishes Tarentula is its strange relationship to music. Sometimes music ameliorates all the symptoms and at other times it aggravates them. The child becomes violently excited after listening to music.
Can all hyperactive children be lumped together under one diagnostic category? Can a child, who lashes out in a violent manner at his family members and peers, fit into the same diagnostic group as a sweet gregarious one who simply cannot pay attention to the work in the class? A homoeopath would say that both temperaments are as different as day and night and would prescribe very different medicines. Individualisation stands as a key point in homeopathic treatment.

I am resident of Delhi. My son Somansh has ADHD and fine motor skill disability. He is 13 years old. He is on medication since he was 6 years old. Currently he has addwise od 18 (OD) and ariprazole 5mg (at night). He has not had any major side effects with these meds. Neither has his height or weight got effected. But still I would like to get him off medication totally. If homepathy can cure this disorder then I want to try. Please advise

Hi sir my son is 8 yrs of age. He has been dignosed with adhd and was having alopathy meds for that but now we have just stop giving him meds bcoz he had one sesior like apisode month before. Now he has become more hyper n not listening at all plz tell if homopathy medicine can be given. Thanx

my daughter ishita class 1st student aged 6 do not write any thing in class. in morning for getting to school at 0545 she cries a lot and says i do not want to go to school. she also takes around 1 – 1.5 hrs for lunch / dinner. she is also very jiddi. although she is having very sharp memory. she always want to play and unnecessary shouts while playing running. she most of the time talks in high pitch. telling lies.

My son is 7 year old. He has ADHD problem. Due to this he couldn’t concentrate in the school. Also he couldn’t eat food all by him self. His sleep is good so far and no issues on that one. We started using medicine – but he is getting stomach pain with that tablet. Doctor has switched the tablet but there is no use. I heard the Homeopathy medicine has No side effects. my son is 3.2yrs old and he got diagonistic that he is hyperactive, that ‘s the reason he has yet not started speaking properly . we have also started giving him speech theraphy from last two months. i would like to know is really homoephatic medicine work to get off from hyperactiveness and if yes how to go for it and to whom we should consult. we are from bangalore. i mdoing lots of activities to encourage him to speak and develop his cocentration . i will be really grateful if you can guide me.

ı have a 10 years boy. he suffered restlesness, agitated, uncontrollable irriatting behaviour for about 10-30 minutes three or two times a day then he will be good and lovely normal for about 2-3 hours then he become a son WİTH adhd symptoms and arguing, restlesness, and oppositional behaviour unporpusless hyperactivity vs…lasting for about 30 minutes .
we used some ritalin, he became well for 15 days then side effects occured them we stopped it.
he never good at academic performance. he doesnt like learning.
his brain is lazy.

Hello, Dr. Sharma – I read your article above, it appears you write about me! I had been diagnosed with ADHD at least 15 years ago, but the medication I was given “Conserta?” gave me heart palpatations. The doctor discontinued the medication and simply placed me on a tranquilizer. Unfortunately, that sedated me where I would feel sleepy during the day, unable to perform optimally at work. More recently, due to several family crises, I have been diagnosed with tic disorders (doctors want to classify them under Tourette’s Syndrome medications), ADHD , significant depressive and anxiety disorder. I’ve reached a point where I rub my face to the point where it becomes irritated.
I was born/raised during civil war in Greece, and previous doctors also diagnosed me as having PTSD. However present PTSD is or is not in me, as I recall, I always had ADHD and tic disorders and strong fears due to early abuse as far back as I can remember. I wish there was one magic pill that would handle everything. When I aim to meditate, my mind is too active for me to gain the benefits of very deep meditation. I very much look forward to your recommendations. I am desperately reaching out for help.
