Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder ADHD
It is estimated that about 3-5 percent of all kids, have this disorder. Also the most unfortunate thing is that in many cases this disorder goes totally undiagnosed .The child is often mistaken as hyper-energetic kid or as just being more playful, but the reality is that many such kids suffer from a medical disorder known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD.
It is a common belief that only kids showing signs of physical hyperactivity have some problem related to this disorder. Well, this actually it is not the complete truth. Symptoms of consistent inattentiveness are also associated with this disorder. It is characterized by hyperactivity (physical), inattentiveness, and impulsivity

Kids having ADHD usually depict either of three patterns of behavior. Either they are more of the hyperactive type, which means that they are more physically hyperactive (constantly moving jumping running fidgeting squirming, having difficulty sitting in one place etc) or the ‘inattentive type’ (having difficulty in concentrating, easily distracted) or the ‘combined type’ (having symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention both).
Not all children who run and jump too much suffer from ADHD. It is very important to realize that for a child to be diagnosed with ADHD, certain criterion has to be met with also called as the DSM criteria, before a child can be said to be suffering from it.
Nobody exactly knows what causes ADHD. Recent researches point out the causes could be either neurobiological or genetical. Certain chemical levels in the brain have been found low (dopamine -a chemical that sends messages to the part of the brain involved in attention, movement and motivation). Increased levels of heavy metals (lead) in the body is also seen in some kids .The kind of parenting given to the child has no role in the causation of this disorder, although bad parenting can influence the severity of this disorder.
Implication of ADHD can have far reaching effects, with the schooling of the child taking the biggest hit. Poor performance in school due to ADHD can lead to a hampered self esteem in the child .ADHD can also lead to learning disabilities, defiant behavior ,conduct disorder(anti-social behaviour,stealing ,fighting), anxiety disorders and depression .
Severe forms of ADHD are difficult to differentiate from milder forms of autism, a careful approach is necessary in diagnosing and treating such forms. Such severe forms affect the child?s normal mental development .for example speech and cognitive skills can be markedly affected in such cases.

I wanna tell about my brother. His name is Suman S Kashyap and he is 15 years old. He is very weak in his studies, he doesn’t know the basics only, but he is interested in computers. The problem is he is not going to school regularly from almost 2 years and now from past 6 months whenever we ask him to go to school or study, he runs away from home and comes back within 15 days. I have 13 yrs old son.daignosed as ADHD by psychaitrist.He has rxed Inspiral 20 to him. he has shown some improvement still his behavior is almost same. talkative unnecessarily,unattanetive in study.He is taking medicine since last 3-4 months.

My 15 yr old son had been diagnosed with ADD 3 years back.He has been taking Inspiral 40 mg for two years . His medicine was changed to Addwize 54 mg 6 months back. Since last month he has been complaining of headaches. He is in class X and has been studying for his preboards. When we got him checked up, it was found that he has high blood pressure. We have got everything else checked up to discover the cause. Could Addwize be the cause? I checked up the literature of addwize and found that the medicine has been tested for just 7 weeks of use & does cause side effects. Is there any adequate remedy in homeopathy which can help quickly? His ICSE board exams are starting after just a month. ido not want to continue with Addwize.Please suggest suitable remedy so that headaches go away & BP becomes normal.

We have a son, he is 7 years and 9 months old. He have almost symptom of ADHD. I am a Bangladeshi. My daughter is 4yrs old she has late development delay n also adhd she still does nt speak except 2 words mummy & nani. right now she is on medication i’m giving her Tab.Axepta for hyperactivity so that she can concentrate on whatever we want to teach her. she is also going for special classes. I wanted to ask you is it ok to contine with this medication or should i give her homeopathy treatment.
