COME winter and it is time for all the cold-related illnesses. Sinusitis happens to be one of them. Although its occurrence is not always related to cold and can happen any time of the year, for those who are sensitive to the least chill in the air, sinusitis may be just round the corner. Homeopathic treatment can be of great help to those who suffer from sinusitis often during winter.
Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinuses (hollow spaces) in our skull. These hollow spaces are linked to the nose from inside. The anatomical presence of these cavities makes our skull light for our neck to bear it. Sinuses also provide the resonance to our tone when we speak. So, the presence of the sinuses is not a problem but it is their inflammation (sinusitis) that causes distress. Inflammation can be acute, recurrent or of chronic nature.
Sinuses are four sets of hollow spaces in our skull. All of these sinuses have the same lining that is present in our nose. This lining produces mucus which is drained out of these sinuses through an opening in the nose. During an attack of cold or allergies (mucous membranes start producing more mucus during cold, etc.) swelling in the nose and sinuses can cause the drainage from the sinuses to get blocked. This blockage leads to the trapping of mucus in the sinuses resulting in the growth of bacteria and viruses.
The symptoms
The symptoms of sinusitis depend upon the sinus that gets affected. The morning headache when one wakes up is typical of sinusitis: blocked sensation: in the nose, heaviness and pain in the facial bones and head may occur due to the underlying inflamed sinus. Inflammation in the sinuses that are present behind the bridge of the nose and in-between the eyes can lead to swelling in the eyelids and the tissues around the eyes. Inflammation in the maxillary sinuses can cause pain in the upper jaw and teeth.
Sinusitis may be accompanied by other symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose, fever, tiredness and cough that may aggravate at night. Post-nasal dripping of mucus can cause problems in the throat too.
A correctly prescribed homeopathic medicine can be a great boon to those who suffer from sinusitis. Homeopathic treatment aims at rebuilding one’s immunity towards such attack. With regards I state that I am sufferng from chronic sinusitus problem for the last 15 years or so. I am taking Homoepathic Medicines Silicea and Kalibichrome 1 m each for the last 15 days regularly. Previously the problem was in winter only and less in summer, but this time I am having problem in summer too.
Ihave got CT Scan of the nose recently and Dr has advised operation. Report of the CT Scan show inflmation at the Right Side and increase of Bone at one side i.e.Right Side.
I am taking usual precautions to prevent the problem, But the problem is persisting for the last 15 years or so. Please advise me.

i m 26 yrs old suffering from constant pain in upper nose mild heaviness in the head resulting to concentration loss and sometime difficult to recollect some easy name etc.
background – i was well not suffered from any kind of nose pain and headache till 2007 . i was got unfit by defence org for dns in 2007 and i get operated for dns by ENT Surgon but after two year i got problem like mild heaviness and concentration problem , slow processing of mind like when i m reading a lecture i m seeing paper as well as audience alternatively when i saw audience i struggle to search the sentence again although that time i was doing lot of physical activity , after almost 4-5 months i got some recovery. but still facing lack of concentration and heaviness in nose as well as fore head. i had done the test by own for sinusities it was moderatly developed. can u explain me what happened to me and can i be normal . thanks

I am have a sinus from long time i had taken some aryadic medicine last 8 years i was fine now some time again start and my nose is dripping always. if i take any medicine it will dry inside and difficult to breath. specially in the night some time both nose blocked some time both of open please let me know what is permanent remedy for this.

Good morning Dr. Sharma on 26th April I had a very little shower of rain in the noon time. But I was wait by only twenty percent. But the rain causes dipping temperature at Kolkata in the night. The frequent occurrence of KalBaisahi in Kolkata is keeping the noon temperature very high and the evening shower or shower to remote location bringing the temperature down. And it all started with tonsillitis and slight fever and cold and cough. Till today the tonsillitis is not cleared and signs of sinus with pain over the eyebrows and yellowish cough coming out and the continuous blowing of air aggravates the situation. Point to add that I had to perform night duty where is centralized airconditioning which by the time aggravates the situation. Please help me with homepathy medicines. Thanks
