Weather is known to have an effect on rheumatoid arthritis. It is quite known that arthritis patients show an increase in their symptoms during cold weather. Winters can be very bad for some of them. The Scope of homoeopathic treatment in rheumatoid arthritis is very favorable. But the patient needs to understand that the homeopathic system is aiming to clear out the disease from the body and not trying merely to suppress or give temporary relief .Thus it could take a while before one experiences relief. The time for its treatment is dependent on various factors-The chronicity of the disease (the duration since the disease has been in the body), genetic propensity and the extent of damage.
Although it is not very clear as how homeopathy works in rheumatoid arthritis, it is hypothesized that homoeopathic medicines regulate the immune system and deactivates the misdirected immune cells. Dear Dr Sharma,
I am 36 years old and I have had RA for just under 5 years. It started when I had my little boy.
I am on medication but sometimes it feels like the medication’s aren’t helping so I try new medication’s all of the time to see if anything can improve/ help my condition.
I am on Methotrexate (8 tablets per week, taken on a Monday), Sulphasalazine (5 tablets per day), Folic acid (1 tablet per day for 6 days per week), Cetirazine (1 tables per day) as I now seem to be hyper-sensitive, Codeine/Paracetamol 50mg/500mg (as and when needed). I stared a new treatment in December 2012 called Rituximab and I am due for the next infusion next month.
After having the Rituximab, I don’t feel any better at all, infact, I feel worse but my consultant wants me to go ahead with the next infusion anyway to see if there are any changes after that.
I also suffer with depression through having RA which I take Citalopram for (40mg per day) and I have a problem with the muscles in my back so I take Diazapam.
Since having RA and being on medication (including steroids), my weight has gone up dramatically and I am struggling terribly trying to loose the weight. My depression gets in the way of my eating habits as does the medication because I often feel unwell and sickly.
I am struggling greatly and feel like I am in a never ending vicious circle. I don’t like taking so much medication but I know that I simply couldn’t function without it……..it can be quite hard even while taking it too!
A friend of mine mentioned homeopathy so I thought I would have a look into it and see if I can get any help and advice……..it would be very much appreciated.

My mother is suffering from arthritis since almost 10 years, she is 55 Now, and also suffering with High BP, etc. We have consulted so many Doctors (Allopathic), mostly they have suggested pain killers, Vitamins (D, Calcium), Physiotherapy and Operation (she didn’t undergo any operation till now). According to me painkiller is not a treatment and solution, there are side effects with the continuous use of painkillers. I’m hoping to find a solution (permanent) in Homoeopathy for this problem, are there any such treatment/medicines. I hope you will give us some tips, guidence.

I was diagonised with RA just before a year. It was very painful for me. Initially I started with ayurvedic treatment and I stopped the medicine after a month and it got aggravated. Then I started using allopathy medicines, Though it gave some relief, it has lots of side effects. I felt difficult with allopathy . Because my appetite decreased very much and every morning I used to vomit. My stomach always remain upset. I am in a very painful situation. I have just started homeopathy. The doctor has given me bamboorsa, Sunsun, Athritisam, Rheumasan. But there is no relief from pain. Can you please help me?????

1. knee pain,
2. left heel pain,

4. and also have uric acid problem.
I discuss with Doctor about my problem, he said that it is a arthritis problem. I have x-ray my both knee in report my knee balls are both some enlarge in upper side of ball. I suffering knee pain for both of that reasons.
I suffering heel pain (left) always. it is more pain when I getup in morning.

Respected Dr, I am a RA patient. Started in left knee some years back. Now recently from last Oct 2012 all on a sudden pain started in the right knee also. As I have pain in both knees, I am unable to go upstairs. Folding of legs to a particular angle creates pain, hence unable to climb. Please suggest homoeo remedies to get relief off pains.

I am vaibhav, my mother aged 52 years is suffering from rheumatoid arthiritis from last 10 years with severe morning stiffness and acute pain throughout the day. We have tried allopathy treatment for several years but the steroids in allopathy medicines are affecting negatively on her body now. We have also tried Ayurvedic treatment but not of substantial relief.
We came to know that homeopathy has cure to this acute disease, as it cures it from its roots rather than suppressing the pain temporarily.

I have RA, I have been off the med.’s that the doctor gave me for about 3 months now and I do feel better not taking that stuff but I can not find anything to get rid of the pain. I take 2 aleve a day and does help some, I need something that helps for the whole day.

This is Chandan and i am 30 year old. I had Rheumatoid fever in the early age, for that i have taken 16 years of penidure LA 12 injection as medication. During medication and even after stopping that i haven’t come across the pain. As a matter of fact i bought up from sports school. Since 2 years i am facing several joint pains due to some vigorous workouts in the gym to reduce body weight and i stop it the moment pain occurred, moreover its not constant whole year. Few days(month or two) in a year pain occurs and it stop simultaneously. I went through several tests (Rh Factor)and it shows positive some instances and even negative respectively. Please could you tell me it is curable or not. Can i know do you have permanent solution for this problem in homeopathy medicine. Please help me out to bring back my normal health.
