Weather is known to have an effect on rheumatoid arthritis. It is quite known that arthritis patients show an increase in their symptoms during cold weather. Winters can be very bad for some of them. Even wet weather aggravates the condition for many patients. Some RA (rheumatoid arthritis) patient seems to be too sensitive about weather changes. So much so that they often come up saying that they know ? it,s going to rain? as their joints start to ache.

Diagnoses of arthritis is made on combination of factors; by assessing medical history, performing a physical examination, ordering specific laboratory tests, and x-rays
The Scope of homoeopathic treatment in rheumatoid arthritis is very favorable. But the patient needs to understand that the homeopathic system is aiming to clear out the disease from the body and not trying merely to suppress or give temporary relief .Thus it could take a while before one experiences relief. The time for its treatment is dependent on various factors-The chronicity of the disease (the duration since the disease has been in the body), genetic propensity and the extent of damage.
Although it is not very clear as how homeopathy works in rheumatoid arthritis, it is hypothesized that homoeopathic medicines regulate the immune system and deactivates the misdirected immune cells. They also help in reducing the inflammation in the joints too. Reversal of deformity with homoeopathy is still under debate and nothing conclusive can be said about it.
What kind of homoeopathic medicines are used in treating rheumatoid arthritis and how safe are they?

In the year 2012 when i was living in Chennai i was told that i have been diagnosed with Gout Arthritis where i was prescribed with Febostat 40 daily one before sleep and asked to take low purine food.I was Okay for quiet some time.

Sir My elder brother in law suffering from rheumatoid in both hand fingers due to carelessness of exercises of hands. Injured right leg is affected but both hands not injured but after the major operation both hands not done anything…. it causes both hand’s fingers can not make a grip position. I have been disgonised with RA since April 2011. I have tried the ayurvedic treatment for 2 years and I did not find any major relief or change from that. So I want to try Homeopathy. I have started homeopathy medicine Rhustox 30 potency. Ledum Palustre 30 potency and Colocynth 30 potency as per one ot the homeopathy doctor’s treatment since April of 2013. I do not see much relief or change. I also get shifting pain which I control with Ibuporfen minimum dose for a day or two and i gets better. I get these attacks frequently now earlier they were once in few months and now once in few weeks. Also I feel this nerve pain in the back of my left leg below the butt. I have also consulted a rheumatologist and said it is Rheumatic pain and not sciatica. I did not have knee pains, but after starting homeopathy medicine in April I have started getting pain in specific spots on both my knees since the last 3 or 4 days. Please advice

Please advice me on the following ;
I am a 49 year old NRI working in Oman over the last 22 years.
In 2010 (around mid Oct.) I started getting severe joint
pain and on a complete blood test I found out that my RA factor
as highly positive as (96) but all other conditions were very normal
including ESR / Uric acid level etc. Subsequently I started taking ayurvedic
medicine and RA level got reduced to (46)level. As I was still feeling slight
feverish etc. I started taking homeo medicine. To my surprise, everything
came out well and I felt that I am absolutely allright because there was no
pain / fever etc. Incidentally, just 2 days ago I went to check up my uric acid
/ ESR / Sugar and RA factor level but to my absolutely surprise, RA factor has gone
up to (186 level) and other factors are very normal. Now I have stopped homeo
medicine, as I suspect that the medicine I was given was to suppress the disease.
Please advice me what do I do now because I am worried whether the pain will come
back agaiN what medicine I will take not to control this disease.

I live in Dublin, Ireland.
It is nice to see your Homeopathic treatment therapy for RA. I am a patient of RA and suffering for last 5/6 years. In 2005, my eye got effected in the form of “UVEITIS”. My eye consultant took long time but could not diagnose the cause of it. I was having little pain in my back and waist but it was tolerable.
I then approached to Shankar netralaya, Chennai. There Dr. J Biswas with the help of a Sr. Rheumotologist in Appolo hospital diagnosed that I have Sacrilitis and this is causing Uveitis. I was prescribed “METHOTRAXATE” but after 3 months I found this was damaging my Kidney and I stopped it.
I then approached to a Rhemotologist in Dublin and he prescribed me “HUMIRA” an Anti-TNF. It worked like miracle first year and I am using this since last three years. These days, I found it’s not working like first year. I am OK in summer but winter is tough.
Please sugest me, if I wish to start Homeapathy, how should I proceed. Can I use both Anti-TNF and Homeopathy together slowing down the Anti-NTF gradually.

I have RA since 1991. I am 45 now. I tried homeopathy med recently along with allopathic meds. It caused my symptoms to flare up really bad and also caused dizziness. I also have hypothyroid and high bp. My symptoms have recently started growing worse recently and that is why I started homeopathy meds. I was taking it based on the advice of a homeopathic doctor. I have stopped since I felt dizzy. It had been only about a week.
Can you advise.
