ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry.
Other symptoms may be fever, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, anaemia from loss of blood, pus in the stool, malnutrition and slow growth in children.
UC can also affect parts of the body outside the colon, causing skin sores, mouth sores, joint pain, and inflammation of the eyes, the liver, the kidneys or the gallbladder.
Homeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis. The patient requiring Merc Sol has a continuous urge for passing stool and urine ? a never-get-done feeling. One often passes pure blood or bloody water. Symptoms asking for Merc Cor are nearly the same as those of Merc Sol; it is only the intensity which contributes to the selection. Merc Cor has more violent attacks, with a violent urge to pass stool and to urinate. Intense suffering follows. Phosphorus is indicated in cases which have painless and profuse stool passed involuntarily and freely.

I am suffering from ulcerative collitis inflammatory bowl disease and bloody piles since last one year. It is identified by colonoscopy in in India.Piles has been also observed by my doctor.
Treatment was going on like Balacol, Omni cortil. Now since last 15days, bleeding in stool, urgency for bowls , many times only blood comes inseatd of stool. Because of this i am going toilet for 10times in a 24hrs.
Before my doctor told blood comes from piles not from ulcer. Blood quality is bright red only.Before blood start, white cream type material also comes out at the beginning.
Please advise me at the earlist.

Hi ! Dr . Sharma , I would like to intimate you the I ‘ve UC from last 10 years but still I am under medication. I am taking one tablet of Mesacol 400 gm a day and along with it I am taking Homoeopathic Medicine i.e diarrhoea drop R4German Medicine . This I take 10 drops in a half cup of water twice or once daily. Just tell me the treatment I am taking is right and is cure able with Homoeopathic medicine and if yes then how much time it takes. Hi I think i am suffering in colitis because my stools became in black with tongue black and having pain in back side, legs and shoulder. My blood platelets are low and found blood in stool diagnose. My hair is falling too much with decreasing the health power also. In stomach i am getting some pain at night or when i take some little spicy things. So please could you advise me the best homeopath medicine or should i take Merc Sol/cor and what no. like 200/1M and please give me the dose time with how many drops.

,Respected Dr.Sharma Sir ,i m very much in trouble.i hv to go many times to passout the stool.Thestools are sometimes semisolid or moretimes watery.sometimes offensive smell also occur in the stools.some certain food items also increase the problems like protein rich food, oily food,citrus fruits ,dairy food products.i hv gone through sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. mostly i take LOPRAMIDE tablet to control the motions otherwise stools can not be controlled.i had taken several alopethy aurvedic and homeopathic treatments.alopethy and ayurvedic medicines do not suit me rather they increase the motions frequently.blood is not seen in the stools and no pain in my stomach only frequent stools.i

My six year daughter diagnosed with ulcerative colities in large intestine 4 months back and is being treated at sir Ganga tam hospital Delhi, where alopathy medicine is bring prescribed. She cured in one month medicine. But suddenly lapsed a week before and suffered from blood and loose motion again.
We started her homeopathy medicine ( merc cor 200, arsenic alb 30& hamamelis 30) along with allopathy . Pls advice that , will it work. Or if, how much time will it take to full recovered by homeopathy medicine.

Hi, im 20 yr old Engineering student.im sufferin frm u.c. dr says to do colonoscopy test.Bt due to my exam there is delay upto 30 augest 2014. Dr there chances of increment of ulcer? Can i cler completely from u.c.after col.test? im taking MESACOL 400mg three times in a day. How much period require to completely clear? Im starting to do PRANAYAM from today also? I had diareha for about three months , I went to my GP, who sent me for a blood test and stool test, both test came back normal and his finding were that I have IBS. These symptoms continued and I went back again to my GP who sent me for colonoscopy and they found polyps in the colon area, serveral of them. I am waiting for my CT scan because they suspected that one of the polyps was large and the doctor suspected it my be cancerous. Can you advise me any medication for polyps and persistent diareha? I have not lost any white and my skin colour is normal, temperature is normal and my appetite is normal. My sleep has been disturbed for a long time otherwise I’m healthy.
