ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry.
Other symptoms may be fever, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, anaemia from loss of blood, pus in the stool, malnutrition and slow growth in children.
UC can also affect parts of the body outside the colon, causing skin sores, mouth sores, joint pain, and inflammation of the eyes, the liver, the kidneys or the gallbladder.
Homeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis. The patient requiring Merc Sol has a continuous urge for passing stool and urine ? a never-get-done feeling. One often passes pure blood or bloody water. Symptoms asking for Merc Cor are nearly the same as those of Merc Sol; it is only the intensity which contributes to the selection. Merc Cor has more violent attacks, with a violent urge to pass stool and to urinate. Intense suffering follows. I was diagonized with UC few years back. I consulted couple of doctors and finally landed up with a perfect one. I am now taking Mesacol 800 mg + priobiotics tablet , follic acid and staerid ominacrtil tabs and few vitamins. I feel I am doing good and healthy with minor symptoms sometimes.. Though I stopped drinking for the past one year still I am still eating outside food(sometimes junk foods) though not spicy and oily.
It is for sure that till now there are no permanent cure for this problem. But guys according to my view, Ulcerative colitis will just bring you a slight changesin your life style.
I learned that only four mandatory things one need to follow if he has UC.
1) No to over oily food
2) No very spicy food
3) No too much of fatty food
4) Less consumption of milk.
No restriction as such that we should stop eating outside and stop eating fried and spicy food as we can have it occasionally.
I strongly suggest everyone to start doing some kind of meditation, maybe pranayama or some breathing exercise which could bring you peace and relieve your stress and anxiety which could aggreviate the symptoms.
Over all if you think UC is a problem definitely you will feel along your way, but if you forget it and change your life style slightly you may even forget one day that you have that problem.

I am suffering from UC from 2013.. First I took Allopathic treatment for two months then went for homeopathy. My husband is a chronic alcoholic, consuming almost 800ml every night and a chain smoker. He is a diabetic and has developed infection in toe which is destroyed. Also he has blocked knee artery and no blood flow. He needs to stop smoking and alcohol but is not ready to do so. His addiction is to the extent that hr would have his leg cut off than to stop it. Please help, its urgent.

My son’s age is 18 yrs. Due to the round type stool (like stool of goat) he was started taking out his such stool at the age of 10 years with the help of his fore finger by inserting into rectum. Two yrs before we came came to know that with his stool fresh blood are going. Accordingly, we went to Doctor and as advice Colonoscopy test was performed and found there is a ulcer formed at 2.5 cm inside rectum due to the nail hurt (when asked by doctor and replied by my son) and all other tests were found normal.
Although he stopped to remove stool with finger after a largest duration 6 months from 15.01.15 again fresh blood removal starts ( Qty 3-4 drops).
Therefore, as the exam is ahead we started using Lactihap, and Entofoam anema first seven days 2 doses per day and then 1 dose at bed time for next seven days and then 1 dose every alternate day. Although the blood secretion was lasts for 3 days from 15.01.15.
Now my question is 1) How long Entofoam anema is to be used and what doze ? As there is no pain, he likes spicy food rather than sweet (although not now), he prefers to do work in computer, read whole night rather than day. Every day he goes to bed at 4.30 A.M. wakes 2 to 4 PM. He was suffering from bronchial asthma from the age of his 9 months upto 13/14 yes of age. figure is 6 ft ht weight 65 Kg. fair complexion. We are using “Phosphorous 0/1, 16 doze” from 22/01/15. Seek your advise.
