Wet weather is much awaited season but it brings with it, its share of miseries too; Skin disorders, viral fevers, Respiratory problems and gastroenteritis are always on a big rise during this weather. A major percent of all the viral fevers are reported mainly during this weather. Fungal infection on skin like ?ring worm? and ?athletes foot? are very common.
Some of the asthmatics experience an increase in their breathing problems. Cases of gastroenteritis (diarrhea, vomiting etc) are usually very high in wet weather as compared to other seasons. This all is so due to the fact that hot and moist environment during this period is favorable for microorganisms to thrive. Fungal infections on skin are the most common of all and are effectively treated with homeopathy. Two of the most common fungal infections that occur during this time of the year are ?athletes foot? and ?Ring Worm?. Athletes foot is fungal infection that affect the usually the front part of the foot. Mostly it is between the toes and the underside of the front part of the foot. It is usually marked by red itchy patches and white flaky skin. It has nothing to do with the foot of an athlete; in reality it can affect anybody. This disease is more common in hot and moist weather and is more frequently seen in people who keep their feet enclosed in shoes or socks most of the time. It is caused by a group of fungi called as dermatophytes. They live on protein (keratin) found in our skin hair nails. It is slightly contagious and can spread through direct contact, towels, shoes socks etc. Not changing your sweaty socks frequently also contributes to this disorder. Homeopathic medicine Graphite can work wonders in treating Athletes foot. Another medicine ?Sanicula ?is helpful if Graphite fails.
Ring worm is characterized by a raised brownish red patch which can occur anywhere around the body. they are usually marked with ring around it. It does not have ring shaped worm inside it (as it is popularly believed). Ring worm is caused by the same fungi group. Homeopathic medicine Tellurium and Sepia treat this condition very effectively.
For some of the Asthmatics, rains are not a welcome sign as their breathing problems tend to increase during this period. This is mainly due to the increase in moulds and fungi due to dampness. This also leads to an increase in upper respiratory allergies. Natrum Sulph works very effectively to treat this weather related increase and an added advantage with Natrum Sulph is that it would ensure that this problem is eradicated in totality from the body.
Influenzas or viral fever as it is popularly called is much more on the rise during this weather. The treatment in homeopathy usually based on the symptoms presented in the fever. As a preventive, homeopathic medicine Influenzinum can give a great deal of protective cover from viral fevers. Rhus Tox is greatly indicated when the fever starts after getting drenched in rain.
Veratrum Album rules the homeopathic list of medicines for gastroenteritis. Also, Arsenic Album is very helpful when the source of infection in gastroenteritis is waterborne.

I just read couple of your articles. The problem is regarding skin in feet. My mother got skin problem 4 yrs back in her feet. She visited us 4 years back and when she came back to India skin problem started in her feet. She gets itchyness and gets cracks in her feet. Some times it doesn’t show up. She has seen so many doctors in India. It’s been her 4 years seeing doctors. But no improvement. Now a days she is with me in United States. So she is seeing a skin specialist here next month. If it doesn’t work what should she do. Also if you can give the details and your address so that she can come in your clinic and see you and discuss her problem that will be great.

My sister is suffering from white patches on skin around her private area which is turning black color as days pass by. She has a very bad itchy sensation all over her body although the patches are only in the private area. She has informed me that the skin is turning in the effected areas are turning out to become dead skin. Please suggest the right medicine & what is the reason for her to develop this ailment.

I had fungus infection on right toe nail in begining of 2009.It was treated by alopathic mdicine. Again in middle of 2009 the fungus appeared on left foot toe nail .It was also treated by alopathic medicine.Now in oct 09 I had a great burning sensation on skin of testacles. I consulted doctor who said it is fungus. I got alopathic treatment but still it is not completely cured. The genetal area will remin moist and skin of testacles will stick to back due to wetness. There is burnig sensation on the skin of testacles and below upto anus.Kindly suggest some homeopathic medicine
