HEAD INJURY AND HOMEOPATHY

December 28, 2008

We have often heard that “a stitch in time saves nine”. Arnica and Natrum Sulph work well in head injuries. When initial hours after the injury are very crucial, these medicines can be extremely useful. Their application is equally important and significant in immediate and remote effects resulting out of such an injury. Arnica should not be looked upon as a mere remedy for small injuries.

It is very effective in controlling internal haemorrhages (bleeding) and their absorption, thus its effectiveness in the initial hours of severe head injuries is high.

Natrum Sulph works well to treat epilepsy, arising from a recent or remote head injury, vertigo, memory impairment and blindness arising from such an injury. Injury at times can cause swelling in the optic canal (a barely negotiable passage) through which the optic nerve passes, which can lead to severe visual disturbances.

Similarly, if hearing is affected after an injury to the head, Nat Sulph can work wonders. It is effective in mental troubles resulting from a head injury. Cicuta Virosa is another homoeopathic medicine having a significant role in a concussion to the brain. Violent forms of epilepsy and also squint resulting from such an injury are treatable with it.

Belladonna and Kali Bromatum are effective in treating headaches resulting from head injuries. What Arnica is for soft tissue injuries, Hypericum is for nerve injuries. Hypericum works well to treat bad effects of injuries to the spine.

Homoeopaths with conservative opinion would consider 10m potency “high” but those of a more liberal view would call it “moderate”; one dose of Arnica 10m given on the tongue in the initial hour of a head injury would work as the proverbial “stitch in time”.

i was shoked when 2 leading said we got nothing in homeopathy pls go to buchers case is as below
Past history:- As far as I remember, I have always been facing the problem of indigestion, gastric problem and stomach disorder. It was in 2003 that I faced acute problem of pain in stomach and vomiting I was rushed to the hospital at about 1 am and doctors diagnosed that the main intestine has leaked. They operated me in the morning same day without any further investigation and removed the leaking part of main intestine. After only 2 days, the same problem started and they again operated but the problem was still there. The doctors, then put a colostomy bag which remained for mearly 2 months. I then consulted another hospital where a very reputable surgeon removed the colostomy bag and he also did the operations of main intestine. By these operations, some part of the main intestine was cut and removed and ultimately it remained only 1/3rd of the total length. For those operations I remained mearly one year in different hospitals. According to doctors/surgeons, pockets developed in the main intestine which started leaking from time to time. After coming back from hospital I have been living along with controlled diet. A few months back the stomach problem increased again and I went to the hospital. The doctors did a Bara-meal test and it was diagnosed that there is “sub – acute obstruction” in the main intestine i.e in some places it is partly blocked and anything which should pass through it within one to two hours, it takes 6-8 hours due to which burden remains on stomach and anything eaten remains in stomach for about 24 hours due to blockage in the main intestine. It also happens that the burden/Pain in stomach starts after 24 hours of taking/eating anything which does not suite me. In fact, nothing suits me except very simple diet of plain bread with chicken or mutton soup. This pain remain till such time that this diet passes to main intestine. Surgeons says that the only treatment to remove “sub – acute obstruction” is Roding in main intestine by which obstruction is removed, but in my case, Roding is not possible as it is done with general anesthesia, But in my case general anesthesia because if they resort to it, it would not be possible to bring me back to senses du e to acute weakness. Now there remains only one option that the “sub – acute obstruction” is removed with medicine, but in allopathic way of treatment there is no such medicine which could work in my case. As no operation is done in homeopathic I was with an impression that there might be any medicine in this system for the above stated purpose. I referred my case to my brother Hussain who is resending in uk and well wisher of homeopathy& student…. He was very kind to suggest —I, therefore, approach with my very simple question which is: “Whether there is any medicine in Homeopathy which could remove the “sub – acute obstruction” of main intestine without damaging its internal walls but on the other hand strengthening them. The stomach problem is burden on stomach, heart burning, burning of the esophagus, stomach pain, indigestion, lack of appetite, constipation etc: may be related problem of this sub – acute obstruction” I would be much thankful for your early advice please. please

This is Regarding my wife 23 years old who is right now in semi-coma in a local hospital in chennai.

Last Year on oct-21 she was strangulated by criminals for gold in my home when she was alone with my 1 year and six month old child.

She was admitted with continous seizures on the same day at apollo hospitals chennai, where an immediate ct cervical spine and brain was done.
    ct cervical spine was normal
ct brain showed diffuse cerebral edima.

she was serious for the first 4 or 5 days and then she opened her eyes and an MRI was done on oct 31.
mri report too showed diffuse cerebral edima with cerebellar white matter and altered signal intensities being reported on many parts of the brain.

her eeg which was done on nov 21 showed both delta and theta waves and was abnormal, and it also showed moderately severe dysfunction on some parts of the brain.

Right now she is in semi coma and in persistent vegetative state ,she just smiles on looking at me and cries sometimes on looking at my child, she has a slight
