Those receiving homeopathic medicines showed significantly more improvement than those given placebos. The homoeopathic medicines found most helpful for ADHD were Stramonium, Cina and Hyoscyamus Niger. Stramonium was specifically indicated when children had many fears, or suffered symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. The children who were physically aggressive benefited the most from Cina, and, children with manic or sexualised symptoms responded favourably to Hyoscyamus Niger

A homoeopath would say that both temperaments are as different as day and night and would prescribe very different medicines. Individualisation stands as a key point in homeopathic treatment.

We adopted a little boy with severe ADHD and behavioral issues a few years ago. We went the first year and a half trying “natural” remedies (beyond just giving him love and boundaries) such as diet (no food dyes and gluten free, etc.). At that point, our family felt we had to turn to medication for our own sanity. He has now been on Concerta for 2 years.
Recently I began investigating homeopathic medications for ADHD. I purchased hyoscaymus niger online. I have only given him 2 pills so far, over the course of several days, but he has had the best two days he has ever had so far. We have a once a week academic program we attend, and not only was it the first day he didn’t get into trouble with the tutors, he was able to focus and thoroughly enjoy himself. The second day, his impulse control was startling – I’ve never seen him so calmly react to potentially upsetting situations. His improvement could simply be coincidental, but I am motivated to figure out how to give him the right dose.
The pills I purchased are 200c and I worry that may be too much. Do you have any dosing advice?

How much would you give a 4 year old, 40lbs. My son has been diagnosised with ADHD and ashburgers . Has volient tantrums to mostly me or family. He hits, bites, slaps and throws things and hit my daughter with a small bat at the age two. I would like to find something safe for him to take during the day at night the dr has given us melatonin. Hi ,I suspect my child has ADHD.Varenya is 3.5 years old and is very sharp and quick learner .She loves to read and write and sing rhymes.But cannot sit at one place and when at home she often tends to misbehave and not listen to what told.She probably listens but doesnt care .She remebers what she learns and never forgets anything.When we are at beach she tends to let go and run away from us and gets hyper infront of the crowd.So we are scared to take her out in public .For now her problem sitting .Her teacher doesnt complain much but sometimes she keeps telling me that she doesn’t listen at all and jumps all the time.Are these symptoms of ADHD.I am in INDIA right now and can u help me guide what to do or suggest any medication.Thankq

I have a son that is almost ten years old, he has ADHD. His doctor wants to give him Focalin and I am opposed to such medicine. Please, is there any suggestion because the side effects of this med are tremendous. I am a Nurse and have talked to so many Doctor’s, they always revert to taking the Focalin. I have always been for Homeopathic remedies. I would like to start him on a remedy this summer before school starts so I know what will work for him for the new school year.
