Need help please. My 17 year old daughter has suffered from depression the last 4 years. Prescribed cocktail of meds lithium ability celebrexa. Many serious side effects. 100 lb weight gain, hair loss and nominal growth, tremors, foot shuffling, body skin breakout, intestinal issues, odor even after showering, bladder incontinence, lack of concentration and feeling generally dulled, excessively tired, cutting… She took herself off meds cold Turkey bc couldn’t deal with side effects anymore 2 weeks ago. I have a feeling that I have no personality, no interest in things that was once interesting to me, I feel that I’m numb (physically as well as emotionally) and I usually try to avoid things that remind me of the trauma (remains of buildings destroyed by earthquake and stuff).

Hello, Dr Sharma, I m mother of two teenager sons, my elder son is 15.3 years n he is suffering from depression, he is disturb since 4 years after his father’s death, the main problem is that his father was also in depression due to lose in business n then he died incidentally. He was bullied for two years at school. He is now in college, He seems to be suffering from depression.

my son is 12 years old ( in two months 13). We have noticed that he is complaining about dizzyness, and stomach pain (sometimes). He doesn’t focus on homework (lack of concentration) and we have to push him all the time to make sure he his doing his homework accordingly as asked. His grades at school are not what they should be. He also plays hockey and we’ve noticed a lack of interest (he’s not giving the effort) He likes sweets . Mr Naeem, homeopathic medicines might definitely work but do get all his blood tests mri’s done as well, at times we don’t know any little thing might be the cause,my sister was depressed she had all the tests done in England n they said u have psychological problem,till she came to pakistan had to go through all the tests again,n the doctors were spot on the issue, she had TM spinal inflammation, long story I cut it shot she was treated n is fine now,if all ur son’s test are clear, n no other psychologist or psychiatrist was of any help, I think ur son need more practical time from someone who has a positive influence on him,n make him realise happy or sad life has to go on,plus fresh fruits, n a lot of positive time can help him recover..n change of environment would help too,I’ve experienced many depressed people in life,all u need pour some extra light, he will recover. . no offence dr sharma, u can still recommend homeopathic medicine to him,i gave just my general advice..
