Having bald patches on one?s head, beard and eyebrows can be very distressing. Although alopecia areata does not affect the patient health in any other form, it is certainly life-altering and its sudden onset, recurrent episodes and unpredictable course have a great impact on the psyche of those suffering from it. Homoeopathic treatment of it is fairly successful as it quickly helps the hair in growing back fast.
Alopecia areata is the loss of hair in circular or oval patches from the scalp or elsewhere such as eyebrows, beard, etc. The bald patches are usually of the size of a five-rupee coin or one-rupee coin. Complete loss of hair may also occur in some individuals although it is not very common.
Alopecia areata is a fairly common skin disorder and about 1 per cent of the population is affected at any given time. Though not very certain, it is assumed that your body?s own defence system attacks the hair follicle. The defence system attacks the cells of the follicle as a case of mistaken identity. These cells resemble a protein which our defence system is programmed to destroy. Pigment cells and the sweat gland around it get destroyed but the follicle protects itself by moving into the higher layers of the skin and sheds off the hair shaft. The follicle then remains dormant there.
Although not very strong, the genetic factor is also associated with alopecia areata. This means that some children whose parents have had alopecia areata or are suffering from it may have a predisposition towards developing the disease later in life.
As the hair follicle is not destroyed, the chances of hair growing back is always there. The true and exact nature of an untreated case is very difficult to predict. Some hair experts believe that there are certain conditions where the prognosis is not good.
Although there has not been found a direct link between stress and alopecia, its involvement cannot be totally ruled out. Stress is known to aggravate immune (defence) system-related disorders and also a variety of skin conditions, including urticaria, psoriasis and hyperhidrosis.
Homoeopathic treatment is very effective in dealing with alopecia areata. Researches shown that homoeopathic medicines affect our body by optimising our immune system. Thus, homoeopathy can provide an effective solution to this problem.
Moreover, once it is treated with homoeopathy the chances of the problem occurring again are also highly reduced. I am 22 years old and I have dandruff from childhood days.my mother also have it.
I havn’t taken it as a problem in my childood days. I started usind head&shoulders shampoo from 7th std onwards and continued using it almost daily up to my 12th days i think. In these days,i never used oil .
After that i found my dandruff is reduced well . Then i stopped using the shampoo. For almost 1 year i didn’t had dandruff. Then i used dove shampoo and conditioner on hair. After that my dandruff came back with full streangth. It started spreading to face also. Hair fall also started.I consulted a dermetologist and she prescribed me to use a lotion called AF-K which consist of ketoconazole and zinc pyrithion And prescribed a medicine namely minoxidil 2% solution for hair fall. I used it and my dandruff reduced but hairfall not.
I again consulted her after few months and she has given another medicine which contains 5%minoxidil and some percentage of aminexil tropical solution together. It comes as a solution . I started using the solution with the previewsly mentioned af-k lotion. But after few months, i noticed my hair is thinning and the number of hair on my scalp is decreasing day by day. So i stopped using the minoxidil+aminexil solution and continued the af-k lotion otherwise the dandruff will come back severely to face and scalp . Still my hair is falling and dandruff is there on scalp and it will become severe if i skipped the afk lotion for 3 or 4 days. The hair is thinning day by day. I think it is becoz of the usage of chemicals in lotion and chemicals such as minoxidil . I stoppeminoxidil and aminexil… what can i do doctor?
Is there a solution in homeopathy for my severe dandruff and hair thinning or falling ..??
Will it affect on my minoxidil treated scalp??

i am suffering from alopecia from the last 2months .
i went to doctor and he first gave me some lotion it was having calcipotirol as its composition , n also he gave me vitilex tablets but it didnt help me .i took these medicins fr about 40 days .
later on i went to another doctor and he gave me a spray morr having minoxidil as its composition it also didnt worked for me .
later on, the doctor injcted tricot (syg)
it is olso showing some poor response.
now, what to do with this alopecia ?
