My son aged 2 years. He born premature i,e in seventh month. At first up to 6 month he looked to any noise but gradually his hearing is declining. Recently we checked his ear but no wax and no hole is seen in the ear. But now he don’t hear any noise and so that he is unable to speech. Now what can I do. Please advice me in this regard. audiogram report: BILATERAL MODERATELY SEVERE SENSORINEURAL HEARING LOSS.

I suffered from Idopathic sudden sensory hearing loss in my left ear about 5 months ago.
One evening, I got the sensation of some fluid movement in my left ear and immideately after that, I felt my left ear was blocked. Initially I attributed it to pressure variations since I had gone to a high altitude place and had touched 11500 feet a few hours before that. The location itself was at approximately 10000 feet.
This feeling of a blocked ear and fullness continued for about 10 days till I went to an ENT specialist who diagnosed it as ISSHL. I took steroids for about a month and there was some improvement in hearing but very limited. My hearing has more or less stabilised and is far from satisfactory in the left year. One doctor suggested that it could have been a case of round window ruptured.
I would be very grateful for your suggestions.

This is on behalf of a dear friend of mine.
He is 86 and has been struggling with wax in his ear and has to use hearing aids which are large cumbersome and make lots of loud whistling noises.
He went to the hospital and they used a machine which warmed and pulled the wax out.
He was overjoyed because he could hear again without using the hearing aids
The wax has built up again and there is a long waiting list for the appointment .

I have recently fearing hearing loss. I am more worried about sharpness of speech than the volume. My doctor has prescribed 2/3 drops of gelsemium semp. 1M for 3 days and arnica mont, 1M for 4 days in a week in the morning to continue for a month. 15 days have past. Am I under proper medication?
