The endometrium is a tissue that normally lines the inner mucous membrane of the uterus. This tissue grows and thickens under the influence of hormones and is shed during menstruation every month. When this endometrial tissue grows in body parts other than the uterus, it is termed as endometriosis. This endometrial tissue may grow in ovaries, fallopian tubes, back of the uterus, intestines, rectum and urinary bladder. This misplaced tissue undergoes proliferation simultaneously along with the normal uterine tissue under hormonal influence. These areas bleed at the time of the menstrual period. Scarring and adhesions result in these areas. The exact cause of endometriosis is unknown, but various theories like surgical scars, retrograde menstruation explain the probable cause of endometriosis. I had a procedure two years ago where I was told my endometriosis has spread to other areas of my pelvis and is affecting other organs. Hello , I am in menopause but after 2 years again period has come with vigorous bleeding and doc gave pevena 20 mg and stop that period but now in ultrasound found out that endometrium walls and very thick. 12 mm which as per stand 4 mm. Do have my culture for biopsy and waiting on results is there any homeopathy medicine for this issue. Otherwise I was thinking of removing uterus.

My daughter had severe endometriosis for which she has recently had surgery. She had endometriomas of 6cm on each ovary and they both touching and stuck together. There was also a lot of endometriosis on the different organs and it was removed from every thing, the ovaries were cleared and the tubes were mobalised. The uterus is healthy.
