Dear doctor have been suffering from pharyngitis for three months first there is pain on right side if throat with low grade fever..after taking several courses of antibiotics like azithrol and augmantin..no change. But an allergic phlegm whitish in colour and have to clear throat..Then took homeopathy..this aggravated in the beginning then all phlegm sort off clear but low grade fever came again so consulted ent..confirmed pharygitis more reddness and pain on right side..some pain on right side and while swallowing.. so was on antibiotics for 7 days through fever and most reddness gone.yet swallow thick phlegm some pain on right and left side and centre sometimes when I swallow..pls advice treatment..

I have been suffering from the same. Finally I went to CMC Vellore and there I was diagnosed with vitamin B12 deficiency. They prescribed me Vitamin B12 tablets 500mcg and I was told to consume more red meat. And exercise for atleast 45 minutes so that bady can convert and absorb Vitamin B12 from the red meat meal. It’s been 4 years to have pharyngitis. Sometimes I feel some infections in my throat but now it is very rare. Taxim-o was the antibiotic I was prescribed by some local doctors but in CMC they told me not to take it because slowly antibiotics does not work effectively if you takes it every time you suffer.

I got granular chronic pharyngitis with swollen lymph nodes on back of neck that are painful, red back wall of throat with ulcers and left side with ulcers. I have accid reflux from my stomach, throat mucus and glens. They found bacteria in my nose – moraxella catarrhalis.
