Get Rid of Itching with These Top 10 Natural Homeopathic Medicines

homeopathic medicine itching

Natural homeopathic medicines for itching

Itching, medically termed as pruritus, is an irritating, unpleasant sensation on the skin that makes a person rub or scratch it. Itching can affect some specific body parts (localized itching) or it may spread over the body (generalized itching). Itching can occur without any eruptions, or there may be a rash or an eruption. The skin may become rough, dry, cracked, or leathery and may look red. Following scratching, bleeding spots appear on the skin. With intense scratching, the chances of skin injuries and infection also increase.

There is a huge scope in homeopathy to treat itching that arises due to various reasons. Itching, both, recent or chronic in nature, respond well to homeopathic treatment. The main advantage of using homeopathic medicines for itching is that these are natural and safe medicines with zero side-effects. Along with itching, they help relieve associated complaints like burning sensation, stinging sensation, dryness, roughness, cracks, and also help cure any type of eruptions.

Homeopathic treatment is non-suppressive

Homeopathy offers non-suppressive treatment for itching. It provides long-term relief followed by cure if proper course of homeopathic treatment is followed. Itching on the skin may be due to various reasons, and since homeopathic remedies address the root cause, it leads to permanent cure. The conventional medicines treat itching with the use of ointments. Though, these act quickly to relieve one of itching, it offers short-term relief by way of suppression. Suppression is not cure.

Once itching is suppressed, it may recur since the cause may have been left untreated. Therefore, homeopathy can be a great treatment option to prevent suppression in any way. Homeopathy does not act superficially but gets deep into treatment of underlying causes to offer a cure.

Homeopathy prescribes as per law of individualization

Homeopathic prescription is done following the principle of individualization. There are numerous homeopathic medicines for treating itching and in every individual case the characteristic symptoms are studied in detail to finalise the prescription. These individually administered medicines work magnificently in relieving itching on the skin.

Suits all age groups

Itching can affect persons of any age group and homeopathic medicines are suitable for people of all age groups. Only the potency and dosage varies according to the age of the individual. Homeopathic medicines boost the body’s self-healing system to help in natural recovery.

Gentle treatment with no side effects

Homeopathic medicines are devoid of any toxins and chemicals. These are prepared from natural sources hence are very safe to use and have no side effects at all. These treat in a very mild, gentle and most harmless manner and offer great cures.

    Hello Dr;
I am turning 70 this year and have up until about 15 yrs ago been totally healthy. I have developed Hashimoto’s (figured that one out on my own), lower back pain/forearm pain now and a myriad of other symptoms, each whittling away at my quality of life. I have seen over 10 Naturepathic Drs and Chiroproctors/Accupuncturists, Reiki over the years, spent thousands on supplements, diets, cleanses and treatments none of which have helped. I am desperate at this point to find the root cause. Right now the tingling/itching without rash is controlling my life and interrupting sleep. Inside elbows, under arms, lower legs. I have cleared anything that might be irritating/causing. Maybe this is opportunity to see if Homeopathy works for me? If it can alleviate this symptom i would love to schedule a complete review of my history.

    Dr Sharma,
My mother is 85 and has recently had a few systemic infections. In December she had MRSA and since has been itching like crazy on arms, legs, torso. In March and in April she developed a UTI that went septic as she’s no longer able to care for herself properly due to dementia. Surface of the skin is very dry and flaky. What can we do for her that does not include giving her the usual drugs with the dangerous side effects to solve this problem as her Drs only guess at the issue but don’t really address it?

    • Hi Dr Sharma,
A week ago, after gardening outside, fully clothed with boots, a (which may or may not be connected), the next day I had a small, very itchy spot on the outer edge of my belly button, then some small inflamed, itchy spots on one collarbone, which has spread several inches on upper chest, then the other collarbone, and a few small red, itchy spots in other various places, ie on upper arm, abdomen, back, wrist. A few new small spots show up each day. Some are flat and some slightly raised, red. They don’t seem to have any fluid inside.. The itching is intense. Difficult to sleep. Cold applications help, but only as long as applied, I’ve taken 2 doses of Apis 30 C, so far, but no improvement.
Relief from itching would be greatly appreciated,
