Hello, I developed chronic vertigo 7 yrs ago while weaning off of 3 mg of klonopin over 4 mons time. I remember the day it started I was in severe withdrawals and I developed tinnitus in my right ear the same day that has not stopped since then. The vertigo only happens now when the barometric pressure changes. I have not had any Dr.s give me any answers or really listen to me about this. I also get the dizziness when around fluorescent or led lights. I have chiari 1 malformation as well as a neck fusion from skull to c3. Is there a remedy that would help?

    Dear Dr. Sharma,

Thanks for providing an opportunity to write you. Dr. Sharma, my wife, has developed an inner ear disorder causing her body imbalance. It has been found that it is due to thickening of the vestibular nerve after an infection. Earlier, she had some vertigo problems, but that subsided after allopathy treatments. At present, she is having a body imbalance only. Should she go for Gelsemium or some other medicine(s)? I will wait for your valuable advice.

    Best regards,

    Prof. (Dr.) S. S. Thakur

Now I am having recurring vestibular attacks, mostly at night, that include not only dizziness and loss of balance, but brain fog. Is there anything that can be done homeopathically? I am prone to bone sour from other bones I have broken and wonder if this could be the problem. If so, can anything be done?

  10. Karen Cupp says:

    Hi
I currently had a vertigo attack 2 months ago, I was bending slightly forward to wipe something off my leg and the whole room started spinning. Went to the emergency room they diagnosed me with BPPV and told me to do exercises. I did the exercises a few times however they made me super dizzy so I waited to go to physical therapy which was 3 weeks later and she did the Epley maneuvers on me and said that the BPPV must have cleared because I no longer got the spins. However since then I have had MDDS, rocking on a boat sensation, my balance is still slightly off I get dizzy if I put my head slightly forward. My left ear always feels full like maybe the ear nerve is irritated causing the dizziness / vertigo. Don’t really have a specific diagnosis but my neurologist thinks it could be vestibular migraines.
Is there any homeopathic medicine that can help with the MDDS/slight dizziness vertigo and ear pressure as well as vestibular migraine? I do not have head pain like a regular migraine I just have these other symptoms…
Please let me know if there’s any homeopathic remedies that could help with this. Thank you Karen
    I’m in California USA

My wife complains of the sensation of water in her ear, this is consistent everyday along with a consistent headache that occurs everyday. Her gait is very shortened as if she is walking on her tippy toes.

What if any holistic remedy will work for her? Her doctor has diagnosed her issue as vestibular.

Thank you very much for listening.

    I await your answer.

      Hi Dr Sharma
I recently have been diagnosed with vestibular neuritis but not advised of any meds or vitamins to take. I was advised to get an ENG, an MRI with contrast and without; a Transcranial ultrasound, An MRA, AND an EEG. Dr does not suspect brain tumor. Can you tell me How will all of these tests help? Do you also recommend turmeric ?
      Thank you
      Bonnie

She struggles with it daily, has appointments for maneuvers, takes ashwagandha, fish oil, vitamin b complex, and gingko bilbao religiously but nothing seems to stop it. She drinks ginger tea and has fresh turmeric and ginger every night, extremely healthy diet but nothing works. Can you please suggest something that we may be missing thanks

  13. Gina Sanders says:

Hello Dr Sharma. Your pages are so very helpful, thank you. Could you please advise which of the above might be most helpful for a case of vestibular nueritis, where vertigo is quite severe? The patient is a 27 yr old male of generally good health. Slim and fit, high-pressure job and most likely a constitutional type of Nux vom. The attack came on suddenly, with severe vomiting, which has now receded. He has improved overnight with intense “shock” dosing of Arnica Plus, but I feel a more targeted treatment would be benefical. Kind regards Gina
