Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder ADHD
It is estimated that about 3-5 percent of all kids, have this disorder. Also the most unfortunate thing is that in many cases this disorder goes totally undiagnosed .The child is often mistaken as hyper-energetic kid or as just being more playful, but the reality is that many such kids suffer from a medical disorder known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD.
It is a common belief that only kids showing signs of physical hyperactivity have some problem related to this disorder. Well, this actually it is not the complete truth. Symptoms of consistent inattentiveness are also associated with this disorder. It is characterized by hyperactivity (physical), inattentiveness, and impulsivity
ADHD is a medical disorder which usually becomes evident in the preschool years or early school years. It is characterized by hyperactivity (physical), inattentiveness, and impulsivity
Kids having ADHD usually depict either of three patterns of behavior. Either they are more of the hyperactive type, which means that they are more physically hyperactive (constantly moving jumping running fidgeting squirming, having difficulty sitting in one place etc) or the ‘inattentive type’ (having difficulty in concentrating, easily distracted) or the ‘combined type’ (having symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention both).
Not all children who run and jump too much suffer from ADHD. It is very important to realize that for a child to be diagnosed with ADHD, certain criterion has to be met with also called as the DSM criteria, before a child can be said to be suffering from it.
Nobody exactly knows what causes ADHD. Recent researches point out the causes could be either neurobiological or genetical. Certain chemical levels in the brain have been found low (dopamine -a chemical that sends messages to the part of the brain involved in attention, movement and motivation). Increased levels of heavy metals (lead) in the body is also seen in some kids .The kind of parenting given to the child has no role in the causation of this disorder, although bad parenting can influence the severity of this disorder.
Implication of ADHD can have far reaching effects, with the schooling of the child taking the biggest hit. Poor performance in school due to ADHD can lead to a hampered self esteem in the child .ADHD can also lead to learning disabilities, defiant behavior ,conduct disorder(anti-social behaviour, stealing ,fighting), anxiety disorders and depression .
Severe forms of ADHD are difficult to differentiate from milder forms of autism, a careful approach is necessary in diagnosing and treating such forms. Such severe forms affect the child?s normal mental development .for example speech and cognitive skills can be markedly affected in such cases.
Homoeopathy for ADHD
Homoeopathy for treatment of ADHD is now being considered as an effective form of treatment in the western society where the prevalence and awareness of this disorder is much more. This is more so because of the great side effects produced by the medicine used in conventional system.
The safety and the lasting effects of homoeopathic medicines is what makes it as an effective choice. Homoeopathic medicines do not produce any sedating effect on the child. Also the improvement gained during the treatment is lasting. While treating the symptoms of hyperactivity and inattentiveness, homoeopathic medicines promote the overall brain development too. Another important aspect in homoeopathic treatment is that homoeopathy sees every case of ADHD as an individual case .This means that the medicine prescribed would be on the basis of the individual symptoms shown by the child. This approach in homoeopathy, gives it an advantage of treating the disorder naturally and effectively.

I have a nephew who is 5yrs old. I’ve seen the other kids in his class that seem much more mentally developed and this worries me. He doesn’t act like he’s 5, instead he acts like he’s 3 years old. He doesn’t stay still. Doesn’t obey his parents or anybody and, if he does, it only lasts for a couple of seconds. He has problems doing anything crafty with his hands. Example: After we were doing puzzles, as we were putting the pieces back in the bag(which had a small opening) his became really impatient because the pieces kept falling out and he started jumping/laughing and excited for no reason. His parents doesn’t seem concerned but I am.
Please help! I would hate for him to become a teenager with disadvantages due to lack of focus.

Fact is that hidden donestic violence is more conmon that thought. Hyperarousal caused by (C)PTSD is often misdiagnosed as ADHD. Sleep disturbances, attention disturbances causes drop in academic archievements. All the symptoms mentioned can be originated from abusive parenting. Abusive parents are commonly very eager to get their scapegoat child being tested and “diagnosed” and labeled “mentally ill” and consequently heavily medicated for the rest of their lives because in this way they can blane the victim of abuse instead of taking responsibility of their own abusive behaviour. So, please be careful to label all hyperactive kids with those symptome with this so-called mentally disorder when in fact in most cases there is an underlying cause of this behaviour.
Worth to mention that the “psychiatrist” who “discovered” ADHD declared before his death his discovery was only invented and was a total fraudulent diagnosis to promote excessive drug-use which is beneficial for big pharma. The latter has intimate ties with the American Psychiatric Associatiion which determines the criteris for mental diseases mentioned in the DSM.
I am a medical biologist with 30 years experience in medicine and clinical trials and discovered the massive fraud in drug clinical testing by big pharma and physicians. I do not expect psychiatry is different on this aspect. In the contrary, diagnosing in psychiatry is nothing more than reframing the patient’s complaints. There are no X-rays or bloodtests to confirm the diagnosis. There are no reference values for the “chemical imbalances” so the effects of psychopharmaceuticals are not measurable. The effects are nothing more than the subjective opnion of the psychiatrist. Objective testing is impossible.
My own experience with psychiatry for treatment of CPTSD due to prolonged psychological, sexual, verbal, physical, financial and economic abuse in a dependent situation due to my visual disability is that traumatic experiences are commonly ignored. The focus is on the “defeccts” in the victims head. This is very insulting and not helpful at all. In the contrary, it is very retraumatizing. I have been misdiagnosed bipolar, paranoid schizoohrenic (when in fact I was dissociating), severely personality disordered, ADHD, major depression, autistic before CPTSD was finally diagnosed. The psychiatric “treatment” costs me 16 years of my life and is now conpetely ruined due to unnessecary excecssive long-term drugging with dangerous drugs.

Hello. I’m a private tutor and have recently started working with a 5 year girl. Here’s the run down. She has very little speech. Can’t sit still for very long. She seems to know some of the alphabet but certainly not all of. It.. she’s unable to hold a writing implement correctly. When directed to trace over something She just scribbles. It’s difficult holding her hand to trace or write anything. I’ve tried some brain gym with her. She’s able to crawl now. And raggedly does the cross over exercises. Any advice would be greatly appreciated .
Monica.
