COME winter and it is time for all the cold-related illnesses. Sinusitis happens to be one of them. Although its occurrence is not always related to cold and can happen any time of the year, for those who are sensitive to the least chill in the air, sinusitis may be just round the corner. Homeopathic treatment can be of great help to those who suffer from sinusitis often during winter.
Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinuses (hollow spaces) in our skull. These hollow spaces are linked to the nose from inside. The anatomical presence of these cavities makes our skull light for our neck to bear it. Sinuses also provide the resonance to our tone when we speak. So, the presence of the sinuses is not a problem but it is their inflammation (sinusitis) that causes distress. Inflammation can be acute, recurrent or of chronic nature.
Sinuses are four sets of hollow spaces in our skull. They are situated in cheek bones, forehead, behind the bridge of the nose and between the eyes and yet another set is situated in the upper region of the nose and behind the eyes. All of these sinuses have the same lining that is present in our nose. This lining produces mucus which is drained out of these sinuses through an opening in the nose. During an attack of cold or allergies (mucous membranes start producing more mucus during cold, etc.) swelling in the nose and sinuses can cause the drainage from the sinuses to get blocked. This blockage leads to the trapping of mucus in the sinuses resulting in the growth of bacteria and viruses.
The symptoms
The symptoms of sinusitis depend upon the sinus that gets affected. The morning headache when one wakes up is typical of sinusitis: blocked sensation: in the nose, heaviness and pain in the facial bones and head may occur due to the underlying inflamed sinus. Inflammation in the sinuses that are present behind the bridge of the nose and in-between the eyes can lead to swelling in the eyelids and the tissues around the eyes. Inflammation in the maxillary sinuses can cause pain in the upper jaw and teeth.
Sinusitis may be accompanied by other symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose, fever, tiredness and cough that may aggravate at night. Post-nasal dripping of mucus can cause problems in the throat too.
A correctly prescribed homeopathic medicine can be a great boon to those who suffer from sinusitis. Homeopathic treatment aims at rebuilding one’s immunity towards such attack. My wife is suffering from severe sinusitis from last 3 years particularly in winter. I had consulted with many ENT’s and had also operated for nasal polipses, but no relief. Now, this year she is having more problems as she is not able to breathe to nose she has to breathe completely by mouth, which is somehow ok in day time but at night it’s not possible to breathe with mouth and she becomes restless she can’t sleep whole night. Now, she is pregnant and suffering a lot due to sinusitis, as well as severe headache due to sleeplessness.
Kindly suggest me something for instant relief as i am not having time for long treatment.

I need a solution for my wife, who is suffering from Sinus from quite a long years, though we have got her treatments done and with all the medicines taken, she has all the symptoms as mentioned in the blog about sinus.
We have not tried with any Ayurvedic or Homeo medicines till now.

I have persistent swelling of mucosa and blood vessel inside nose because of medication side effect. Have been taking sanguinaria, nux vomica and thuya for a few months but mostly the same, though sometimes better. Am i getting the right medicine ? How can i get the swelling completely gone and how long do i need to take the homeopathic medicine ?

I am suffering from the Sinus from past 3 to 4 years, and on my face the black patches have appeared on forehead,nose bone side and also blocked sensation in the nose and its spreading and also sometimes i’ve pain on the eye yield and eye brow so is there any rectification for this problem through homeo.

Sir, I have sinusitis problem from 8 years. Now I am 41 years. I have fallen sinusitis most of winter season. I have also done nosel surgery. Now from 15 day days my nose have blocked and heavy cough and half head pain/weighty. I have Sinusitis from a year now.Doctors diagnosed as CHRONIC SINUSITIS. It all started after i had TYPHOID attack when i had a bad cold and runny nose, And i was advised to take a lot of juices and liquids which triggered the problem.
Ever since my Nasal passage remains too dry and mucus does drain out, I feel pressure in left ear and feel the water getting accumulated there. After i use the Nasal drops a thick Green and very Sticky discharge comes out continuously. And i have bad TINNITUS also only in left ear.
My body temperature is always high, Stuffy nose with dry nostrils make it really uncomfortable, The water comes out of nostrils only when i eat spicy and cry.
Your advice would be really worth as i feel i have been suffering from too long.

my daughter is 3.5 yrs old and her PNS xray watres view says that mild dns to right is seen and maxiallry sinuses shows diffuse mucousal thickening bialterllay.frontal sinuses have not yet been developed.bony framework constituting the sinus walls in intact…her padetrician has asked for PNS ct scan but i do not want her to take ct scan…pls suggest. i really dont want her to take to ct scan as pathologist said that for children anasthesia will be given if they do not get stable in machine….further pls suggest the suitable treatment and prescription as i realy on homeopathy more than anything for life long sideeffect free time.

Point is only above eyebrows on right side & pain moves towards eyes.At present i am taking Pulstilla 30. IT happens only in winters. I tried kALI BICH 30…Sang.30 last year but nothing works.
