Rheumatoid Arthritis and Homeopathy
Weather is known to have an effect on rheumatoid arthritis. It is quite known that arthritis patients show an increase in their symptoms during cold weather. Winters can be very bad for some of them. Even wet weather aggravates the condition for many patients. Some RA (rheumatoid arthritis) patient seems to be too sensitive about weather changes. The Scope of homoeopathic treatment in rheumatoid arthritis is very favorable. But the patient needs to understand that the homeopathic system is aiming to clear out the disease from the body and not trying merely to suppress or give temporary relief .Thus it could take a while before one experiences relief. The time for its treatment is dependent on various factors-The chronicity of the disease (the duration since the disease has been in the body), genetic propensity and the extent of damage.
Although it is not very clear as how homeopathy works in rheumatoid arthritis, it is hypothesized that homoeopathic medicines regulate the immune system and deactivates the misdirected immune cells. They also help in reducing the inflammation in the joints too. Reversal of deformity with homoeopathy is still under debate and nothing conclusive can be said about it.

I was diagnosed with RA in 2008. I am on Methotrexate current dosage is 10mg once a week and 5mg Prednisolone daily at present though have managed to reduce from time to time. My symptoms are pain in balls of feet, feels like am walking on pebbles (and pain in right elbow 2008 owsometimes).
The first symptom I got back in 2008 was that out of the blue one day I could not bend my right forefinger and it progressed from there to the feet. I was referred to rheumatologist about 3 months later. Prior to this I had stress relating to my Mother who was in continual pain following failed surgery and holding down a demanding full time job; and I had a shock aswell. I am concerned about being on these drugs long term, and wondered if there is a treatment without the worry of long term side effects.

i am 30 and suffering from rheumatoid arthritis. early morning is the most difficult time after 9 or 10 am it becomes a little bit easy but i cant walk with the same speed as i used to walk before. is it possible to start my treatment without visiting your clinic as i live in assam.

I have suffered with leg pain at TIGH to KNEE which is having a sturck up the place where i could not move inche.Earlier I have a RA Factor and used some injections and medicines 3 to 4 years back.When i am taking the potato and country tomotos then pain got back in recent years immidiately i have taken some sort pain killers tab which i was used in long back the same tablet is used when ever occured the problem.but last 5days there is no releif in the place inspite of using the medicine.Can u advised me for this case to clear which one best one like english ,Ayurveda and homeopathy.

I am 44 years old and diagnosed patient of tric acid 7.8 with positive RA factor since 2009. I tried alopathy,homeopathy and Ayurveda also and at present taking only ayurvedic medicine. Presently pain is in left wrist and fingers,right knee and hip,left jaw.Pain is not very severe if i am taking ayurvedic but as soon as i stop it is severe.

Good to know that Homeopathy “can be a boon” for those suffering from RA. This article would have been nicer if it included at least a few success stories/case studies. Also, are there any diet specifications that RA patients should follow?
