Chronic sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses inside our skull become inflamed for months and years together. This condition can considerably reduce ones quality of life. Patients suffering from chronic Sinusitis complain of difficulty in breathing from nose, headaches, pain and tenderness in the face.
Yellow greenish discharges may also be present from the nose and also from the back of the throat. In most cases, this kind of chronic inflammation in the sinuses is caused by underlying allergic reactions to pollen, pet dander, and dust mites, smoke etc. Homeopathic treatment of chronic sinusitis is very effective and has a strong edge over the conventional treatments. Symptoms of Chronic sinusitis resemble those of acute sinusitis, but usually last much longer and cause more fatigue. The main symptoms of chronic sinusitis are pain in the face and pressure in the areas of forehead, temples, cheeks, and nose and behind the eyes, discharge of a thick yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat, obstructed and difficult breathing through the nose, diminished sense of smell or taste, frequent Headache (especially in morning), Teeth pain, Fatigue, Cough, and Sore throat.
As homeopathy is a symptom based system of medicine, the prescription is based upon the symptoms presented by the patient. Many symptomatic factors determine the choice of remedy .i.e. the type of discharges from the nose and throat, the sinus that is involved and other factors like the time of the year when this problem increases also its relation to weather. The main homeopathic medicines used for treating chronic sinusitis are Hydrastis, kali bichrome, Silicea and Merc Sol. Luffa Opercula requires a special mention for treating allergies and sinusitis both. Lemna Minor works well in cases where the sinusitis is complicated by nasal polyps.
At times the treatment of underlying allergy may also require a totally different set of medicines. Prescription based on the detailed study of the patient’s physical and mental makeup (which is also called as constitutional prescribing) is at times required to cure the allergy from the base.

I’ve been through 2 sinus surgeries. The first was for a fungal ball and the 2nd last week was for the same sinus with staff infection/mucous. With great pleasure, I have to inform you that I have chronic sinusitis with periodic recurrence for more than 20 years and used all modern medicines and underwent surgical operation of removing polips. All are useful just for few days and again recurrence. The only medicine useful is dexamethazone ant that I have to take regularly. But there are many side effects that I cannot tolerate. I went through homeopathy and have found your site. It would very kind of you if you kindly let me know of the benefit of homeopathy in treatment of my sinusitis. I was in delhi in May and the ENT specialists gave me some medicines and these medicines are not so effective. I am a 53 years old man and what I know that I am sensitive to oil color and about the other allergens I don’t know. I am planning to visit delhi in October 2014 and will come to your clinic.

In the year 2004, after x-ray, doctor told me that am sufering rihnosinusis. He gave me sinufed,flu j, septrine, vitamine c. After taking the drug nothing happen. And i later depend on inhaletion of steam with menthol, which helps me alot. But now it becoming worser everyday. Please what will i do?
Dear Sir, I am suffering from deviated nasal septum to left by birth, and hence face sinusitis brought problems constantly, viz, constantly running nose(have to blow my nose every hour), constant mucus formation in throat, which i relieve whenever get time. Deviated nasal septum to left has been proved by CT scan, and I have been referred for surgery/ rhinoplasty by Dr Santosh Kacker, Ex HOD, ENT, AIIMS. I talked to a homeopathic doctor, who claimed to treat it successfully , by treating the deviated septum with three month oral medication. Sir, is it a known practice in homeopathy, could my deviated septum be treated by oral medication, or will the medicine cure sinusitis without treating the deviated septum? sinusitis due to deviated nasal septum my life is miserable blocked nose and discharge in the throat
Hello Doctor,
My problem is my nose is either stuffed or runny. I could feel something is dripping in my throat which make my throat sore and i end up having fever and aches in bones especially my shoulder blade. I’ve started losing sleep also as sometimes the dripping makes me choke or cough during sleep. I’ve tried nasal sprays recommended by my family doctor, had done ultra sounds and xrays of my throat and lymph nodes but everything is clear. The doctor couldn’t find any soreness in my throat but i could feel it. If i eat any sour stuff even yogurt, tomato my throat becomes sore and i strt body ache and fever. Right now I’m taking Claritin for allergy and when i take it i feel better but if i skip, the next day i have the same symptoms. While taking the allergy medicine I don’t feel 100% good but atleast it prevents me from having fever and i am able to do my household chores.
I’ll appreciate if you could help me.

Hello, I am a 49 year old lady with nasal allergies, sinus congestion and fatigue due to the fact that I can’t breathe through my nostrils properly when this is inflamed. Additionally when the allergies get worse, my nose drips like a faucet which is very embarrassing. Allopathic medications work for awhile but as soon as I stop them, I get a rebound effect.Please suggest a remedy

I am suffering from acute allergic sinus since for last 4 years. I have to several Kolkata best medical colleges and taking antibiotics (Montair/Montec LC/nasal spray) as prescribed by them.
