Change in the voice is another very important sign of enlarged adenoids. Kids with enlarged adenoids usually have a pinched nose kind of voice. The most worrisome symptom of enlarged adenoids is ‘sleep apnea’. This means that the child goes without breathing for few seconds; this occurs along with snoring. These apnea periods can occur many times during the night resulting in a restless sleep and low oxygen levels. One of the major fallout of this kind of sleep disturbance is that child will feel sleepy during the day and can have difficulty in concentration. Dry mouth and bad breath are also present in kids who have enlarged adenoids. Another major way in which the enlarged adenoids affect kids is that they predispose them towards recurrent ear, throat and sinus infections. Middle ear infections are very common in kids with enlarged adenoids.

Me n my kids are continuously suffering from throatache and snoring and all the time bad smell comes from mouth ..we feel like congestion in.the throat too, cant even sleep properly.
Its been 2 years we have been visiting doctors and taking antibiotics n other medicines but really no solution at all . We dont have any temperture just these symptoms but if it get worse then use to have infections.

I have a daughter who is 2 years and 5 months old. She is never sick…she’s never had any kind of infection and has never been on an anti biotic. She has has 2 colds in her life and the last one she had has left her with a constant “stuffed up nose”. She hasn’t been able to breathe through her nose for almost 3 weeks now, but her nose isn’t running anymore…she has no cold symptoms at all. However, she snores at night, she has to breathe through her mouth all the time so she can’t breathe when she’s eating and nothing seems to help. Hello Dr,
I have a 9 month old girl child. From her 3 and half month age she has a different kind of problem appeared, and in this situation she was not able to take sound sleep. She started crying by the every break of her sleep. We (husband) went to the Doctor, dr said she had chest congestion. Doctr has given her lot of anti biotics and medicines, but it was not cured fully. One of our Dr Friend diagnosed her and said she had adenoid enlarged. But the symptoms you have given about adenoids, are not all the same with her. She is not breath through month. The snoring sounds always in her breath, never matter she sleeps or awake. Still she is not able to sleep and always she rubs her both the ears. Now we are giving her Calcerea Phosphorica from 20 days.

I want to know more about treating my daughter for these enlarged adenoids and tonsils. I am a nurse and had her checked by her primary care doctor who then referred us to an ENT. This Dr. Who put tubes in my daughters ears said we should have her tonsils and adenoids removed. The date for the surgery has come and gone (wanted a better answer then the knife) we adjusted her diet no dairy, gluten, sugar and even tried a steroid. She cannot breath at night and I am very worried that this will go on I still want to exhaust all options before we cut out this precious defense system. I have a child with a facial lymphatic malformation and his adnoids are enlarged by about 85%.
Doctor want to remove adnoids soon while performing schlerotherapy on lips and pallet.
Because of his condition do you think that your treatment would be effective? He also has asthma.
I believe in homeopathy but in his case, because of the malformation of his lymphatic system, the removal is being highly recommended.

my 2.5 year old daugther has continues runny nose, breathes therough her mouth and has fluid in the middle ear. we live in auckland ,new zealand and we visted specialist here who sid it was common in kids here but afetr consulting doctors in india we came to know ti was swollen adenoids. he gave oral tablet to chew at night and nasonex spray for a month. are you able to please suggest a hemeo path medicine so we can get her cured and get rid of this continous cold..
