Enlarged Adenoids and Homeopathy

What Are Adenoids

Although tonsils can be easily viewed in an open mouth, adenoids are not directly viewable. Enlarged adenoids can only be detected by an x-ray or by the symptoms shown by the child. Symptoms of enlarged adenoids are easily recognizable .The most common symptom is that of difficulty in breathing through the nose .This is most predominant at night when the child is sleeping. Disturbed nasal breathing in kids with enlarged adenoids shows up in two ways-Snoring and breathing through the mouth . If during the day time the child is showing the signs of mouth breathing ,the enlargement of adenoids is usually severe. The most worry some symptom is that of sleep apnea. Sleep apnea refers to a condition where the child has breathing pauses during sleep .This sleep disturbance manifests itself in the day time by paroxysmal drowsiness and difficulty in concentration in the kids .Other symptoms of enlarged adenoids may include bad breath and dry mouth. Increase in the size of adenoids leads to pressure changes on the Eustachian tube causing hearing difficulties and recurrent middle ear infections. Another complication that usually arises out of enlarged adenoids is recurrent infections in the sinuses – often called as sinusitis.

My son is suffering from enlargement of adenoids.He is four years old only.we are giving him homeopathic medicine from last one year,medicine is treating him well. But. There is a problem during this one year duration he put on so much wait although there is no change in diet plan.After observing the situation we stopped his homeopathic medicine now his weight start reducing.Doctor are suggesting surgery ,but we don’t want to go for that.we want to continue his homepathic medicine but scared of side effects as I discussed with you above.plz suggest what to do in this case.

my child is five yrs old and he frequently suffers with cold cough fever and bronchitis. sometimes its associated with adenoid infection too and have breathing difficulties. i am using homeo from past three years but of now use, whenever it is severe i need to go to allopathy and they give antibiotic . on an avg i m using ten times antibiotic per year and in very afraid abt my kids health. my homeo doctor says that my kid is nt developing immunity so thats the reason he is nt responding for medicines. please suggest me what to do i dont want to go for adenoidectomy. bt my son is suffering a lot. we reside at hyderabad. pls could u suggest a gd doctor.

Our 3yrs and 9 months son underwent a surgical procedure 1 yr ago to remove the tonsils and adenoids after having a some nasal congestion and snoring. This problem stopped and now the doctors tells us the adenoids have re grown and needs to be removed again through another surgical procedure. He gets infections frequently and also has nocturnal coughs and slightly dark lower part of his eyes. The congestion is however not serious in our assessment.
We are worried about the effects of this adenoids and don’t want our son to get the long face effects and on the other hand we are not comfortable doing another surgery. I read about your alternative treatment and we would wish to know more. Kindly also advice how we can access your services since we are in Nairobi Kenya.

My son 13 years old is having enlarged adenoid and having breathing problems, while sleeping he does mouth breathing and remain very irritating. Around 3-4 years, he was diagnosed with enlarged adenoids when he used to have frequent ear infections, cold and cough, doc had suggested for surgery, however, at the same time also said that after 12-13, this problem would get cured on its own, I can see reductions in ear infections, however, seasonal cold and cough is there.
