I am a 37 years old primary school teacher, suffering from depression for the last two years. There is a continuous feeling of sadness and worthlessness. I get easily tired and have lost complete interest in my household as well as school work, there are times when I feel like committing suicide (without any apparent reason). My sleep is disturbed and sometimes I just sleep for three, four hours at night. I have tried conventional anti-depressive medication, but its benefits were short-lived and were not without side affects. Please suggest a homeopathic medicine

You seem to suffer from major depression or unipolar depression, which is characterized by severe, persistent depressed mood and loss of interest or pleasure in normal activities, accompanied by decreased energy levels, changes in sleep and appetite, and feelings of guilt or hopelessness.
Major depression is different from other two forms of depression – Chronic Low Grade Depression or Dysthymia and Depressed Moods. Major depression refers only to case where psychotic symptoms of suicidal thoughts or behavious are accompanied. Major depression occurs in all groups of people. It affects both sexes, with an increased incidence in women.
There are multiple causes of depression. Biological- people with depression typically have too title or to much of certain brain chemicals called neurotransmitters. Changes in these brain chemicals may cause, or contribute to depression. Genetic- a family history of depression. Situational- difficult life events, including the death of a loved one, divorce, financial problems or moving to a new place, can contribute to depression.

Homeopathic medicines for depression Natrum muriaticum, Ignatia, Kali Phos and Coffea are extremely effective in treating depression. As you have mentioned suicidal thoughts as one of your symptoms, you may take Aurum Metallicum 200 one dose a week, for a period of two months. Natrum Sulph is an important medicine for the treatment of major depression where psychotic symptoms of suicidal thoughts are in a greater magnitude, where the patient has to be physically refrained from
committing such an act.

If five or more of these symptoms remain for longer than two weeks or if the symptoms are severe enough to interfere -with the daily routine, consult a physician for a thorough analysis.

My mother age 85 suffering from Panic and Anxirty for last 5 years. Initially she was taking medicine of only Anxit and Ativan 1 mg. Ativan is sleeping tablet. Later ATIVAN is still now continuing but they gave frisium 5 for sudden onset fear. along with Buspin 10 mg for stomach anxiety. She is saying everytime something is happening in my stomach when tension comes and moment when Buspin given, immediately she get relief. I donot like Buspin to take for longtime.
I tried homeopathy also. Aconite 200, gelsimium 30, Argentum nitricum 30. Anacardium 200, veratrum album 30 but nothing workout.
Can you please suggest homeo medicine for her. I will be grateful for you.She doesnot have any bP and Sugar.

Hi, my age is 30..I am suffering anxiety and panic attacks from 6 years.. Doctors said that it is anxiety and panic disorder.. i am feeling pain and heaviness in chest at the side of heart.. ECG and cholesterol reports are normal.. My wife has been experiencing sleeplessness and anxiety for the past 7 months and after so much trials and errors, she has been prescribed Ativan medicine ( which is a allopathy medicine ). She has been taking Ativan medicine for past 1 month and she gets relieved but we do not want her to get habitual to Ativan for her sleeplessness.
Please advise for a good homeopathy medicine that helps in sleep disorders for the people who has problems in sleeping.

I am suffering from depression for very long.when i am alone I donot feel like keeping myself active. Even reading book ( which I was very fond of at one point of time), no longer hold any interest. I have hypothryoidism since my pregnancy & 2 years ago I had fractured my foot & followed by cervical slip disc (c2, c3 & c4). My uric is high to level of 5.6 & sometimes more.
