Eczemas and Homeopathic Treatment
Eczema refers to an inflammatory condition of the skin often called as dermatitis by physicians. The word Eczema is a broad term and usually incorporates many types of inflammatory skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis and contact dermatitis. Homeopathy offers a great solution to treating and curing this disorder. Homeopathic medicines, while treating skin disorders are non suppressive in nature and do not have any side effects. The great advantage that homeopathy offers over conventional skin treatments is that its medicines give a long term solution by curing it permanently.
The most common form of eczema is atopic dermatitis. This form of eczema has a strong allergic and genetic component associated to it. Atopic Dermatitis usually starts in infancy. This starts typically by 3 months. It may start with dry inflamed look of the skin mostly on the face, neck; scalp slowly spreading to legs and arms. The bends of joints also get affected by it. Symptoms include mild to severe scratching of the areas affected. In severe cases cuts and cracks may develop on skin with oozing of fluid. If untreated, Atopic dermatitis can continue for years together. There is a very strong allergy feature associated with atopic dermatitis. All those who develop Atopic dermatitis have a strong family history of allergic conditions (like asthma, allergic rhinitis etc.) in the family. Although Most of the kids, by the age of five, show improvement; some flare-ups of atopic dermatitis may be noted even at later ages including late teens and early adulthood. Girls and kids, who have an early onset and patients with strong family history of allergies, usually have a prolonged atopic dermatitis. Nearly all patients by the age of thirty come out of it. Atopic dermatitis can get flared up by many precipitating factors. The most common are the food allergen like nuts, milk etc. other factors are dust mites, animal dander, environmental pollution and thermal and atmospheric conditions.
Contact dermatitis is a kind of eczema where rashes or inflammation on skin appears after a contact with the allergen. The most common example is that of an eczema on fingers and hands that results out of contact with washing detergents. Allergy to cosmetics is another example of contact dermatitis. The symptoms of contact dermatitis include itching in the exposed areas, redness /inflammation, lesions, rashes, cuts, cracks and even oozing. The most common allergens are detergents, jewelry, adhesives perfumes, deodourants, adhesives, cosmetics, paints etc.
It is now an accepted fact that homeopathic treatment for most of the skin disorders and skin allergies is very effective. Even for chronic skin disorders that have been there in the body for many years, can be treated with homeopathy. The big reason for the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating skin allergies can be attributed to the fact that homeopathy does not treat such problems as merely a skin disorder, but as a disturbed internal state of the immune system. one of my relation is suffering from eczema of hands and was under allopathic treatment for some time .but as no improvement was noticed switched over to homeopathic treatment since one and half months .But it is found that instead of any improvement the condition is worsening day by day due to spreading .So pls can u suggest for any permanent cure of it

My one and half year baby suffering from atopic dermatitis over his face and other parts of his body. And two to three times I visited the doctors and they gave me so many medicines for my baby. But for some days it will be cure but now once again I found the same problem.
And he was a IUGR baby and cough and cold is very common symptoms in him. So can you plz suggest me any homeopathic medicine for him to a lifw long relief.

I’m suffering from eczema for last 2 months on my back neck and now it spread out on my neck,back ear,and on my face.it is very irritating,scratchy,and when I scratched it some liquid gets out of this.I’ve recently used mezerium,and applied dim-3 on it. my son is 3months old and he is having atopic dermatitis since 2months. right now i am just using homemade coconut oil,seba med moisturizing cream and soap. the symptoms are on and off around the neck ,face, chest abdomen ,legs. once i appleiied coconut milk b4 bathing him and after 2 hrs his whole body showed up reddness, swelling but it minimised after a day. is it possible to start medication at this age .and should i control my diet in any form he is breast fed now having 5.7kg
I’m 50, and I’ve had eczema since I was a child. At the time, it was treated with topical steroids. It went away until my early teen but has never gone away since then.
When we lived in a more humid climate it was not nearly as bad, but now we live in a very dry climate and it flares up from late Sept. through Feb. By May I really don’t have much of a problem. It’s worse on my face, chin and around my eyes (dry, itchy patches). However, if I eat any hot spices such as garlic, onion, clove, cinnamon and especially sesame my arms react like they’ve been burned. I also have continuous post nasal drip, but other than that I’m healthy and rarely get sick.
I would really like to start using some type of Homeopathic treatment but am unsure where to begin and would appreciate your help!

Hi Dr. Sharma,
I have high blood pressure as well as Arthritis. My doctor prescribed Causticum Hannemanni 30CH for the BP and Gelsemium Semperricum 30CH for the Arthritis. I checked on the Internet and the first 2 of these homeopathic medications are not prescribed correctly. They are both for totally different issues which are not valid in my case. Please advise as to what I should be taking for BP and Arthritis.
The only correct one she prescribed was Petroleum for the Eczema that I have got on my palms and feet which works out really well. I have a lot of allergies and find that homeopathy works the best.

I am reaching out to you in regards to my skin issue. I believe it is CONTACT DERMATITIS as i have already taken a Patch test and i am allergic to Fragrance Mix and Nickel for sure.

I’m looking for a remedy to my contact dermatitis which has only appeared since getting scabies 2 years ago and putting the strong creams to get rid of them on my skin has now made my skin react to jewellery in the form of echzema or dermatitis. I don’t like all the steroid creams and am looking for a natural remedy to get rid of it as it is so irritating. Its only on my fingers where my rings sit and where my bracelet sits on my wrist which is gold.

My child has atopic dermatitis since last 3 years. He is also having asthma. We have got him treated by Alopathic dermatologists. But the cure was not permanent. The symptoms reappeared after stopping of medicines. Being fade up we are continuing Homeopathy since last one year, but the development is very slow. Mainly the itching problem persists. The Doctor says that this is linked with Asthma and will go slowly along with Asthma.
Please suggest whether we are in the right direction.
