In a recently completed study, Dr Edward Chapman of Boston?s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital demonstrated that homeopathy significantly lessens the symptoms and improves the functioning of individuals with mild chronic head injury.

Assault on the head
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a term used to describe a sudden physical assault on the head that causes damage to the brain. It occurs in two types: closed and penetrating. A closed head injury occurs when the head suddenly and violently hits an object, but the object does not break through the skull (e.g. head hitting the dashboard in a car accident). A penetrating type is like a gun shot wound.
An injury can also occur in response to the shaking of the brain within the confines of the skull, an injury called “countercoup”. Shaken baby syndrome is a kind of a countercoup injury that is caused when the baby is violently shaken and the brain sustains injury due to the sudden violent shaking.
What kind of damage occurs?
As brain controls the whole body functions, the possibility of the damage that it can cause engulfs a wide spectrum of disabilities. Loss of consciousness, loss of motor power and/or sensation, loss or decrease in one?s cognitive abilities (the process of knowing in the broadest sense, including perception, memory and judgment) and loss or decrease in one?s speech, swallowing, etc, are usually the most common ones.
The impact of the injury causes the brain to move back and forth against the inside of the bony skull. The frontal (front) and temporal (side) lobes of the brain, the major speech and language areas often receive the most damage in this way because they sit in pockets of the skull that allow more room for the brain to shift and sustain injury. Because these major speech and language areas often receive damage, communication difficulties frequently occur following closed head injuries.
It is often very difficult to predict the damage or the nature of the damage in the first week, as the freshly injured brain undergoes swelling and bruising, and it is only after the swelling has subsided that the real residual abnormalities are detected.
The wonder of arnica lies in treating brain injuries, recent or remote, in the most natural and effective way. It is more of a head injury panacea. It helps in first controlling the bleeding in the brain and also in reducing the swelling in the brain. It has been found useful when years after the brain injury, symptoms related to it start appearing.
Neurological effects of injuries

My 12 years old daughter suffering from seizures since her birth date, firstly i want to tell you that she born at home and miss handled so rolled towards door and probably her head hitted on that door. Next day she got fits repeatedly but for 2-3 seconds and with short intervals, i went to paediatrician, he did suction and wrote syrup Epival. With this medicine my daughter got well but for few months, and again fits arise then we went to a senior doctor in lucknow PGI who treated her and diagnosed Gliosis on Left Parieto-Occipetal region, and written few medicines named Phenytol, Levetracetam etc. Once again she got well for few months and again fits…continues. And it is happening till now but seizures never controlled permanently. Her fits are always changes in type like sometimes she falls front and sometimes back and sometime side but it happens for just few seconds or 1-2 minutes only. She has enough presence of mind but dosen’t like studying. She eat well and other body growth is normal.

I just read your article on the man who had severe head injury, with 2 weeks coma and one month rehabilitation. I had the EXACT same experience in 1984. Car wreck left me with severe closed head injury, large hematoma behind right ear ( it resolved after 7-10 days), contusion on right front temporal lobe, 7 days in coma, 5 weeks at Orlando Regional’s BIRC unit, and permanent light paralysis on my entire left side.
I have had several episodes of severe depression over the ensuing 33 years and am in the midst of one now.
After researching for years I started learning about homeopathy. There is no question I sustained Permanent Brain damage and looking back I have recalled three other instances of having severe ” knocks” to my head (two other car wrecks and a 10 ft fall directly landing on my head)

Good morning Doctor sahab… My mom met an accident and went through craniotomy… Post craniotomy infection developed and had to reoperate after 4 months of craniotomy to remove infdcted bone but post bone removal infection continued and even antibiotic was not doing its bit to kill the infection and hence again, for the third time, the head was opened to clear the pus. Even now doctors are not sure that there wont be further infection and are of the opinion if antibiotics does not work 4th operation will only be the option… sir, is there any homeopathic treatment for this type pf infection….
