In a recently completed study, Dr Edward Chapman of Boston?s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital demonstrated that homeopathy significantly lessens the symptoms and improves the functioning of individuals with mild chronic head injury.
For what is now backed up by research are what homeopathy, for the last two centuries, have been trying to advocate ? that neurological problems arising out of injuries, either recent or remote, can be effectively treated with homeopathy. Assault on the head
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a term used to describe a sudden physical assault on the head that causes damage to the brain. It occurs in two types: closed and penetrating. A closed head injury occurs when the head suddenly and violently hits an object, but the object does not break through the skull (e.g. head hitting the dashboard in a car accident). A penetrating type is like a gun shot wound.
An injury can also occur in response to the shaking of the brain within the confines of the skull, an injury called “countercoup”. Shaken baby syndrome is a kind of a countercoup injury that is caused when the baby is violently shaken and the brain sustains injury due to the sudden violent shaking.
What kind of damage occurs?
As brain controls the whole body functions, the possibility of the damage that it can cause engulfs a wide spectrum of disabilities. Loss of consciousness, loss of motor power and/or sensation, loss or decrease in one?s cognitive abilities (the process of knowing in the broadest sense, including perception, memory and judgment) and loss or decrease in one?s speech, swallowing, etc, are usually the most common ones.
The impact of the injury causes the brain to move back and forth against the inside of the bony skull. The frontal (front) and temporal (side) lobes of the brain, the major speech and language areas often receive the most damage in this way because they sit in pockets of the skull that allow more room for the brain to shift and sustain injury. Because these major speech and language areas often receive damage, communication difficulties frequently occur following closed head injuries.
It is often very difficult to predict the damage or the nature of the damage in the first week, as the freshly injured brain undergoes swelling and bruising, and it is only after the swelling has subsided that the real residual abnormalities are detected.
The wonder of arnica lies in treating brain injuries, recent or remote, in the most natural and effective way. It is more of a head injury panacea. It helps in first controlling the bleeding in the brain and also in reducing the swelling in the brain. It has been found useful when years after the brain injury, symptoms related to it start appearing.
Neurological effects of injuries
The degree to which a homeopath can help is governed by two factors: by the extent of the damage , and the function of the brain that has been compromised.
Although quite a few of the effects can be handled by Arnica alone, the residual abnormalities do have a wide range. Homoeopathy has in its repository other effective medicines that are specific to certain conditions that arise from brain injuries. For example, there are separate groups of medicines for epilepsy, paralysis, memory and speech loss, etc, occurring after brain injury.

my son now 19 yrs was hit by scooter at the age of 4 yrs. he had many bout of vomiting and swelling at one side of brain which stopped after a while. he was treated in naval hospital and mri report done after accident revealed normal brain. but this feb 2, he vomited and fell unconcious for about 10 minutes. his brain mri reveal bleed along splenium of corpus colosum. army hospital delhi cantt neurosurgeon had seen mri and directed to neurologist who did eeg and was found normal. no medicine or intervantion is adviced by them. neuroradiologist say there are microhemorages and suspected lepoma around splenium, which do not need any intervation. sir kindly guide if there is any cure for this problem and if it is without any side effect with proven results in past.

I am having a terrible time recovering from several head injuries. The first injury I had I took arnica and later natrum sulph which helped me a lot and healed me also almost end completely. But then while on the natrum Sulph I received another head injury. This time the natrum Sulph will not work to heal me. My new symptoms are: a strange brain swelling feeling all of the time, a feeling like I’m going to have a seizure, I can’t look at the computer or phone without getting this Bain swelling seizure feeling. I believe my new injury is of the BRAINSTEM region. Is there any homeopathy that can heal the brain stem in particular. And also help with brain swelling and mild seizures? My father Sri. Valayudhan aged 74 years has been suffering with acute chronic subdural hematoma.He became unconsious since last 18 days. From MRI scan reportThere is evidence of concavoconvex collection along the left fronto-temporo-parietal and occipital lobe convexity having maximum cranio-cortical distance of 29mm. The collection shows hyperintense signal on T1WI,T2WI with fluid-fluid levels and blooming on GRE sequence. – S/o acute on chronic subdural haemorrhage.
The lesion is causing mass effect in form of effacement of ipsilateral lateral ventricle and dilatation of contralateral lateral ventricle and midline shift of 13mm to right.

My fathet got subdural brain haematoma but we dnt wants to do oparation because doctr said there’s possibility of loosing his life..he can be blind or paralysed.but in home he was good condition normal food talking he can walk also but last week he fell down again and got injury.again they said this time is surely we lost him.we r not that much stronger to push him in a dangerous oparation so we take him home and do home care.but suddenly he got a chest pain hospital people can’t say what to do.plz suggest without opau what we can do.
Dear Dr. Sharma, I am a practicing chiropractor, I suffered significant injury to my neck (ironically from my colleague ), presently I suffer from very debilitating symptoms – my physio is confident I have classic symptoms of trigeminovagal syndrome, my heart rate is affected, even small movements sometimes cause my blood pressure to go to 190/100, heaviness in the body , very dizzy and nauseous as if I was grabbed by upper neck, very strange symptoms. I tried a lot of modalities including arnica (6CH and 10M).
Nothing seems to be helping me, any suggestions? Any advise will be greatly appreciated, I have ran out of ideas.

brain stem bleed from last three years now could not balance him self

This is to inform you that recently my father died in cerebral disease.he was cerebral infa.He was totally fit and everything was normal. he was 86 yrs old. He was well and good condition. But one day morning he feels mild headache and went to sleep. My Wife brain tumor(GBM4) operated in Dec. 2012. 16 cyles of Radiation and 7 cyle of oral chemo(temozolomide 250 mg) was given till Aug.2013.After that we have started homeo treatment i..e. 1.Ruta 6 2.Calphose.3.Lykopodium and Acid Hydronica. but still tumor recurrence and she is completely unconcious no speech,no movement,no vision and can not take food.Feeding is through RT. Hello Dr. Sharma, This is not a concern for me, but for the young Frenchman who sustained a brain injury from a horrific race car crash. Jules Bianchi remains, it is my understanding, in a coma with a diffuse Traumatic Brain Injury..an Axonal Diffuse injury, if I have all the spelling and understanding of his current condition correct. He has been unconscious, in a coma since the crash, some 6 weeks or so ago. I don’t know why, but I have been following his condition on this computer since his accident. Today I found your name, as I searched for alternative information regarding possible treatment. Personally, I am a very fit, 70 year “young” vegetarian lady, for 42 years having an ovo-lacto diet, organic foods, mega vitamins… I just don’t know how to help him except for “wishes & prayers” Thank-you for your time. My father is 62 years old and last year (May 2013)he suffered from a brain stroke due to blood clotting. Since then the right side of his body is completely paralysed. Although now after a lot of rigorous physiotherapy he is able to move his right leg and some how manages to walk by dragging his right leg. He can understand what others speak, however, he is not able to communicate/speak with us due to which he gets frustrated. He utters only a few repetitive words for every emotion and thought. Could you please help us in recovering his speech?
