In a recently completed study, Dr Edward Chapman of Boston?s Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital demonstrated that homeopathy significantly lessens the symptoms and improves the functioning of individuals with mild chronic head injury.
For what is now backed up by research are what homeopathy, for the last two centuries, have been trying to advocate ? that neurological problems arising out of injuries, either recent or remote, can be effectively treated with homeopathy. Not only does homeopathy help in treating the long-term effects of injury, but also it can help in stopping internal hemorrhage (bleeding) if the injury is fresh. It can also reduce swelling in the brain.
Assault on the head
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a term used to describe a sudden physical assault on the head that causes damage to the brain. It occurs in two types: closed and penetrating. A closed head injury occurs when the head suddenly and violently hits an object, but the object does not break through the skull (e.g. head hitting the dashboard in a car accident). A penetrating type is like a gun shot wound.
An injury can also occur in response to the shaking of the brain within the confines of the skull, an injury called “countercoup”. Shaken baby syndrome is a kind of a countercoup injury that is caused when the baby is violently shaken and the brain sustains injury due to the sudden violent shaking.
What kind of damage occurs?
As brain controls the whole body functions, the possibility of the damage that it can cause engulfs a wide spectrum of disabilities. Loss of consciousness, loss of motor power and/or sensation, loss or decrease in one?s cognitive abilities (the process of knowing in the broadest sense, including perception, memory and judgment) and loss or decrease in one?s speech, swallowing, etc, are usually the most common ones.
The impact of the injury causes the brain to move back and forth against the inside of the bony skull. The frontal (front) and temporal (side) lobes of the brain, the major speech and language areas often receive the most damage in this way because they sit in pockets of the skull that allow more room for the brain to shift and sustain injury. Because these major speech and language areas often receive damage, communication difficulties frequently occur following closed head injuries.
It is often very difficult to predict the damage or the nature of the damage in the first week, as the freshly injured brain undergoes swelling and bruising, and it is only after the swelling has subsided that the real residual abnormalities are detected.
The wonder of arnica lies in treating brain injuries, recent or remote, in the most natural and effective way. It is more of a head injury panacea. It helps in first controlling the bleeding in the brain and also in reducing the swelling in the brain. It has been found useful when years after the brain injury, symptoms related to it start appearing.
Neurological effects of injuries
The degree to which a homeopath can help is governed by two factors: by the extent of the damage , and the function of the brain that has been compromised.
Although quite a few of the effects can be handled by Arnica alone, the residual abnormalities do have a wide range. Homoeopathy has in its repository other effective medicines that are specific to certain conditions that arise from brain injuries. For example, there are separate groups of medicines for epilepsy, paralysis, memory and speech loss, etc, occurring after brain injury.

My mom started coughing and complaining about being short of breath while throwing up foamy white texture like vomit approximately around 2am on Sept 30, 2015. Within minutes of calling 911, she collapsed and stopped breathing. It took them 15 mins to retrieved and find her pluses back. We rushed to hospital and since then they had 2 CT scans and one hypotermia procedure done and soon within 72 hours neurologist team diagnosed her as an anoxic brain injury patient where only brain stem is left. Soon within a period of time she started breathing on her own and now this hospital feels we should move her home as this brain damage is not reversible. She got trech and peg tube soon after. And now we see eyes movement and expressions on face to pain and when she is relaxed. And couple of days back lung Doctor mentioned something about one of her lung has some extra fluid around which can be worrisome in future but they refuse to treat it as its not causing any issue right now and don’t want to bother her with any additional.

My daughter met with road accident on 5th July 2015 she is suffering from brain injury neurologist diagnosed Difusal axonal injury (DAI grade3). She is unconscious since that day and as per the allopath doctors it may take another month or more to regain consciousness. The gcs score is 8. I suffered paralysis stroke again affecting left leg and left hand. After alopthic treatment and exercises I opted for Ayurvedic medicines for few days. Since last two months I am taking homeopathic medicines. I am getting pains on head right side, right ear and even there is toncil problem of right side. Homeopathic medicines continued. Whether I am on the way to cure or there is need to change the medicines?
Hi, my wife got into a driver side accident and her head impacted the air bag. She was conscious at that time and managed to get out of the car, with a small head bump. Has time passed the swelling subsided. During that time her neurologist gave her medicine for three days so since the pain subsided never went for a follow up. We have met an car accident where my wife was hit on the right side of forehead. She claims that it is some what swollen and she doesn’t feel anything while scratching it. My wife’s head banged on to the front glass of the car due to sudden breaking on June 2014 which left an impact on top of her head. CTscan was normal. Since then she is taking homeopathic medicine yet she has no relief. Whenever she lays down,her pain increases and she cannot touch the affected area and it feels itchy as well. My son in- law had a severe brain haemorrhage and had an emergency operation on 1st april 2015. His left temporal and parietal bones were taken out and the blood in subdural area was cleared. He developed infarction in front part or brain after operation and could regain his senses on 5th. day. From 6th. day onwards his recovery was miraculous and was physically almost normal with in 10 days. But even after 2 months his voice is very feeble, hand writing is very poor and grip on his professional work is missing. Neuroligists are saying that there is no medication for this and only physio therapy and practice are the answers.

A closed head I hit my head suddenly and violently into the kitchen cabinet not break through the skin
four months later it my head is hurting and is affecting my body some days I feel fatigue some time back I felt as if spreading in the brain.
