I am Ramachandran aged 73 from Bangalore. I am a retired engineer, but have never worked in noisy conditions throughout my 40 years career. Sine the last 4 to 5 years I have been experiencing gradual loss of hearing in both ears. About 2 years back, all of a sudden the hearing became severely deficient in the left ear. It is slightly better in the right ear. I went in for a hearing aid, but it has become more of an irritant than an aid – noises in certain frequencies are too very shrill and in base frequencies totally unclear. Moreover, it has become a maintenance nuisance. ENT Doctors and Audiologist say that the gradual hearing loss is due to (1) weakness of the auditory nerve and (2) age related. My Daughter is 9 years old and recently been found to have mild sensoryneural Hearing loss.
She has been checked by 3 audiologist and results are almost same. Now we have been advised to go for hearing aids, to which obviously we are reluctant.

My wife is 36 year old. since last three years she is suffering with hearing loss problem. i was in jaipur and doctor there examine her with audiography and tympanography. earlier a mild hearing loss was diagnosed but later it worsen. now i am at the western coast of our country and living nearby arabian coast 35 k.m.here doctor again conduct the same test and diagnose conductive hearing loss. he said that stapes are joined together. As per my MRI report A vascular loop ,most probably the left anterior cerebellar artery is looping over the lft 7Th-8Th nerve complex at the porus acusticus and extending into less than 50% of the internal auditory (type II vascular loop)
