Immune system seems to be low. Doesn’t get infection a lot though.

I am very confused right now and need some guidance please. I have been treating my sons double ear infection with garlic and olive oil with no prevail. This is the first time this has not worked. First he had a low grade fever with sticking/stabbing ear pain and a horrible croupy cough. I got rid of the fever with ferrum phos, not thinking to keep him on it for the ear infection. Got a cold sore which I treated with Nat Mur 6c and went away very quickly. The garlic oil didn’t not work for ears. As of today, a week later dr says he still has ear infection, cough is much better (lungs clear), eyes are much better from a natural remedy raw honey in distilled water, just a little red and a little itchy. He has No pain with ear infection, but infection remains. The Dr said there is a lot of fluid, which I believe, but don’t see. A little bit of yellow, I think, inside and he his ears are Very Plugged- Can’t hear well and nose is a little plugged as well (no sinus infection, but inflammation). He also, is Very tired. Sleeps a lot. One more note- A strange thing… This all started in Right ear. I saw a black dot on ear drum. Since then its moved, but not gone. In the Left ear there wasn’t any, but now and hard to see, a Black chunk/section, not sure how to describe it. Never seen this before. Don’t think Dr saw it, said nothing about it. Is it Fungus, black wax?? I am trying to avoid antibiotics for many, many reasons especially for him, but can’t let go on much longer. Worried even antibiotic won’t help and then it will just mess his gut up all over again! Any guidance would be appreciated!

four years ago in 2014, a small paper ball went in my ear.
To get it out, i used a pencil. Unfortunately, the lead tip of the pencil broke inside my ear.
When i told someone, they asked me not to worry as it would come out by the next morning.
4 years later, somewhat two months ago, i realized that the lead tip was still in my ear.
i could feel it. So i decided to pull it out using a cotton bud yesterday night.
I guess i moved it too much as it started hurting a lot.
So my dad added a few drops of Mullein Oil yesterday night.
I’ve had cold since the last week, sore throat and stuff, too much of cold water.
Today when i tried to blow my nose, it my ear hurt a lot.
Today morning too my dad put mullein oil in my ear, and so he did the same after the pain and tonight too.
But, instead of adding mullein oil now, he added thuja occ 200, and i felt some kind of relief but also experienced heat in both my ears.
BTW, my dad still thinks that i just feel like i have the pencil lead in my ear, and doesn’ tbelieve me when i tell him that i can feel it inside my ear (when i tried it with a bud and i also felt like something moved when he added mullein oil)
