Dear dr. Sharma, my dad (66yo) has beed diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease almost 2 years ago, given memantine and ristidic. A couple of months ago we had to add ketrel and tiaprid due to his aggression. At the moment he: sleeps well, wants to go to bed as soon as it gets dark; doesn’t say much, even when asked he will not always answer; he has selective vision and hearing; will not go by himself to the bathroom, will just scream for 5-30 minutes monkey-like sounds; has to be told to use toilet paper and wash hands; when he has to do something he doesn’t want to or when calming drugs stop working, he screams at us one foul word with craziness in his eyes.
