My wife, age 72, had uterine stage 1 cancer about 12 years ago. They removed uterus plus lymph nodes in upper legs, etc. she has suffered from edema type problem since. She does some exercises to help problem. She is also overweight with extended abdomen. She is very untrusting of pharmaceuticals and most modern US doctors. We have many years of experience with homeopathic and other natural products.
She is leary to take APIs Mellifica because she says her problem is not from usual issues and concerned that Homeopathics will cause other issues due to removed lymph nodes.

I work as a nurse. I have to sit in a chair for about 10 hours straight. For the last three years I have got swelling on both my legs. And when I sleep at night, I feel severe strain and pain in both my legs. Feelings of stiffness and pain in the lower extremities. Difficulty walking. Also acidic chest irritation in my stomach. There is also burning sensation in the urine. Drinking cold drinks makes me feel mild pain in my kidneys. My marital life has also been affected. I have very mild sexual desire. I have written down all my problems. Please tell me what tests I can take to find out my real illness and its causes. I live in a small town. The doctors here do not understand my illness. Kidney and liver and urine tests have been done. But they are normal. I have not done any test this year. Now I will only do the test that you say. Because I am also financially weak. I have to spend a lot. Can’t I am currently 42 years old.

    • Swelling which tests do not show the “cause” or a “disease” is most likely the result of slow or halted lymph flow. Mostly medical doctors are not fully educated on lymph and the issues related to lymph congestion when they are not finding a cause with their tests, etc.
Several things one can do to get lymph moving are walk for 30 minutes. If that is difficult ar first, do what you are able. Also, pumping feet while sitting for anyone, especially those with mobility restrictions. Breathing exercises pump lymph as well – the main pump is under the diaphragm which is often used very little in those who are sedentary.
Sedentary lifestyle is just asking for problems. Walking or other lightly jolting the body stimulates all the organs and the body’s electrical system and pumps lymph.
Believe it or not, it has been discovered that we have more lymph than blood.
Let that sink in. After understanding all of this, doesn’t it make sense why being sedentary is next to death…well it gets you there quicker, with lots of pain too.

Even just lightly slapping the legs, beginning at the ankles on up to the knees then thighs and the bend where thighs and torso meet (groin area) can alleviate some of the swelling.
Lymph isn’t fully understood by traditionally educated medical doctors, although some have learned about it by having family needing something which medicines are not really addressing. This pushes them beyond their pharmaceutical education to find alternative remedies.
