Speech delay is the most common type of developmental delay. A child not paying attention to other people and not responding to sounds is one of the first warnings of possible speech delay. My daughter is 6 weeks premature and currently 18 month and 11 days. She was developing properly till 17 month of age using 4-5 words like mumm mumm, papp papp, dee dee (to ask for something), kya(what) etc then we started noticing that her use of words have reduced and some days she only says 1-2 words only. She was using gestures like bye and high five till that time but now she hardly uses those gestures. She claps sometimes. She is okay with following certain instructions. Plays with me most of the time, has okay eye contact. Does not listen to me when called. I have to use very loud voice to get her attention. Her hearing seems perfect as she can hear any other voice and react to that.
I am really worried her m-chat score is 7 which shows moderate risk of autism. I am begging for your help. She is my only child and I got her after so many prayers. My daughter is 15 months. She can speak Amma and appa. She doesn’t have hearing problem as she responds to her name and some commands like get the ball. My daughter Anushka is 6 years old.She started telling some words before her first birthday.After that she was continuously watching videos in mobile.Gradually she stopped her speech at the age of two.At that time she lost her eye contact.Now is is a little bit hyper active and little aggressive.
