Sensory nerves are responsible for transmission of signals like pain, touch, temperature and other sensations to the brain.
Motor nerves are held responsible for control of muscles.
Autonomic nerves are responsible for regulating autonomic functions of the body such as bladder function, digestion, body temperature, and blood pressure.
The peripheral neuropathy can be a mononeuropathy (damage to a single peripheral nerve) or a polyneuropathy (malfunctioning of multiple peripheral nerves at the same time). The symptoms of this disorder depend on the type of peripheral neuropathy.
Sensory neuropathy: The symptoms of sensory neuropathy are numbness, tingling, pricking, pin/needle sensation, hypersensitivity and burning sensation in the hands and feet. The symptoms can spread up the arm and leg.
Motor neuropathy: The symptoms of motor neuropathy include muscle weakness, paralysis, twitching/cramping of muscles, wasting/thinning of muscles, impaired balance, and coordination.
Autonomic neuropathy: The symptoms of autonomic neuropathy include rapid heart rate, bowel/bladder symptoms, diarrhea/constipation, blood pressure changes, increased/decreased sweating and erectile dysfunction in men.

In some cases, there may be no identifiable cause.

I have peripheral neuropathy. It is chemo induced. I have severe tingling and numbness in my feet, and also in my hands. I sometimes feel like I’m standing on pins and needles. I cannot tell whether my feet are cold. From what I read above, I think I have sensory neuropathy.

My Mom has Chronic Axonal Neuropathy. We’ve tried everything, including Infrared Therapy, to no avail. The infrared hurt her eyes (even with the glasses on) so she had to stop using the infrared foot rest. She has a lot of pain, in her body, headaches & is losing the ability to walk, due to weakness & numbness. It’s traveling into her thighs, now. I have plantar fasciitis and peripheral neuropathy. Long story injured myself spent 2 years on a chair and triggered these lovely things. Hello, I have been told that my neuropathy is caused by chemotherapy that y received this past year for ovarian cancer. I was also told that it may or may not go away and there is no treatment besides pain meds (that don’t work). I’m a firm believer in homeopathic remedies and have used them in the past. My husband’s two fingers on his left hand have become numb for the last 5-6 months. There is no pain but there is no sensation on them.
He has a history of Stroke and right Side paralysis(in 2019), High Blood Pressure. He also had Stroke Induced Diabetes which has been cured now. But now the numbness is in left fingers. He takes medications for his High BP and High Cholesterol. His voice is still not very clear and sharp.

I have burning, itching, prickling feelings in my arms predominantly now, but have what feels like pins and needles in my fingers especially at night. I have had these symptoms for months and even years as they can come and go. Currently the symptoms are quite chronic and wake me at night.
I have seen a homoeopath for 25 years and she has retired now. The remedy she gave was hypericum but it doesn’t do anything.
I scratch my arms as the prickling burning moves likes fire crackers under my skin, and of course itching does nothing. I apply ice packs to get some relief.
What remedies should intake and how can i get some?

I am writing you on behalf of my dad who has a kidney cancer. He got a neuropathy in the beginning of June this year and now he is in huge neuropathic pain in his legs he couldn’t move or do anything. His arms also become very weak. The doctors couldn’t do the right diagnosis. They don’t know what was a cause.
After immunotherapy (last year) he got a lot of problems including hypothyroidism.
Looks like he has a different type of neuropathy as Motor and Autonomic neuropathy.
Blood test result is not bad in his state.
Please, could you recommend what medication he can take in his condition including homeopathy.

Hello doc! I have been taking bp meds along with cholestrol reducing meds for last 11 years . Since last 2 years I have complete numbness under both the feet and now since last 2 days slight burning in feet started. I have cervical spondylitis and also on in lower back minor disc problem. I have imbalance problem too but no dizziness. I am feeling very weak and feels like all muscles are shrinking. I also checked for nerve problems with the best neurologist. He said nerve problem is there ih feet and some in hands, therefore feeling on numbness id also there in small and ring fingers in left hand. I took homeopathy meds for a year. The doctor said neuropathy cannot be cured but can be slowed. Now I stopped even that as nothing happened . My age is 58 and height and weight is 172cms/ 69 kg.
