Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder ADHD
It is estimated that about 3-5 percent of all kids, have this disorder. Also the most unfortunate thing is that in many cases this disorder goes totally undiagnosed .The child is often mistaken as hyper-energetic kid or as just being more playful, but the reality is that many such kids suffer from a medical disorder known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD.
It is a common belief that only kids showing signs of physical hyperactivity have some problem related to this disorder. Well, this actually it is not the complete truth. Symptoms of consistent inattentiveness are also associated with this disorder. It is characterized by hyperactivity (physical), inattentiveness, and impulsivity

Kids having ADHD usually depict either of three patterns of behavior. Either they are more of the hyperactive type, which means that they are more physically hyperactive (constantly moving jumping running fidgeting squirming, having difficulty sitting in one place etc) or the ‘inattentive type’ (having difficulty in concentrating, easily distracted) or the ‘combined type’ (having symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention both).
Not all children who run and jump too much suffer from ADHD. It is very important to realize that for a child to be diagnosed with ADHD, certain criterion has to be met with also called as the DSM criteria, before a child can be said to be suffering from it.
Nobody exactly knows what causes ADHD. Recent researches point out the causes could be either neurobiological or genetical. Certain chemical levels in the brain have been found low (dopamine -a chemical that sends messages to the part of the brain involved in attention, movement and motivation). Increased levels of heavy metals (lead) in the body is also seen in some kids .The kind of parenting given to the child has no role in the causation of this disorder, although bad parenting can influence the severity of this disorder.
Implication of ADHD can have far reaching effects, with the schooling of the child taking the biggest hit. Poor performance in school due to ADHD can lead to a hampered self esteem in the child .ADHD can also lead to learning disabilities, defiant behavior ,conduct disorder(anti-social behaviour,stealing ,fighting), anxiety disorders and depression .
Severe forms of ADHD are difficult to differentiate from milder forms of autism, a careful approach is necessary in diagnosing and treating such forms. Such severe forms affect the child?s normal mental development .for example speech and cognitive skills can be markedly affected in such cases.
Homoeopathy for ADHD

My son has autism and is of 10 yrs. He is under medication and alternate therapies like behaviour modification, speech therapy, sensory integration therapy. Main problem is he doesnt show any interest to learn speech. He is unable to speak even a word. I am very happy to get a trace of a doctor in India who dedicatedly works on managing ADHD. My elder son who is 10 yrs old is diagnosed with ADHD by a Psychiatrist in Mumbai. The Dr had his IQ test and LD Screening done and he was also diagnosed with a mild LD. The outcome of his IQ test was poor comprehension
As per NIMH guidelines, He has all the symptoms of an impulsive child for more than 3 years now. He has one primary symptom of touching or playing with anything and everything in sight.

My 12 year old grandson has been diagnosed with ADHD, major depression and psychotic behavior. He is on Concerta, Serdep and Rispedal at the moment. He was hospitalised for 2 and a half weeks. At the private hospital he was exposed to cigarette smoke and junk food. Junk food and cool drinks like coke was readily available. He was also mixing with smokers on the premises. None of the hospital staff who witnessed this on a daily basis did anything to stop this. When he came out of hospital he was okay for a little while. He is still on medication but he still has the depression and mood swings sometimes. This causes him to be very disrepectful towards the family members. He says things to hurt our feelings. He then goes for a walk and when he comes back it is as nothing has happened. His concentration is worse now than before he was on any medication. He has no motivation to go to school or do anything constructive. Can you please advise me on what we should do? My son is 14 and in 9th. has been diagonised as ADHD kid. I have started on adderdal 2 years ago and now is on inspiral SR Ritalin once a day on the advice of his doctor.

my son is 3.3 years old. he does not start speak, hyperactive and when he found open space he start run even school also. his teachers always complain he does not sit in one place and not contiontrate in his work etc. a doctor has told me adhd for my son. hello..my son studies in class 7th…hes ADHD…we have done all test required…he went for counselling for couple of years and then left …i being a mother has become nagging person as anything and everything he does doesn’t agree to me…if hes on table eating food..h plays tabla on glass table..If hes doing writing work…hes continiously fidgiting with pen…pencil…takes task at such ease that something that reuires 15 min..He takes more then hr…all bcoz he can’t sit at one place…if forced he can’t concentrate or focus on task…will look around for anything and everything…butting in every conversation even if elders are talking…if you leave him unattended even for a moment while hes studying..he will take it as an opportunity to wander physically and mentally…im trying to deal with him by taking yoga classes…spiritual classes bcoz i will collapse if i continue becoming a nagging mother…need help..point to be notes…hes brilliant in studies provided u force urself on him to an extend that u go crazy…the so good academic track accord is result of hawk eyes on his physical movements and mental distraction especially during exams..but this will not work in higher class…have been complimented by each and every teacher that hes brilliant if he focus and concentrate on studies….

Dear sir,
My son is 16 yrs old & he is hyperactive and waiting for 10th result
1) He likes to watch T.V , playing computer games & running games
2) H is constantly engaged in various activities
3) His behavior with elders is very bad.
4) He likes to shouts & he gets angry very easily
5) He has no mood every day .
6) When he is angry he speaks bad words & does misbehovior
7) he is following ICSE sylabus and last year he troubled lot to study and he start beating be and get voilent if ask him study.
8) he is taking medicine from 2nd standard attendrol, insipral addwise etc.,
now he is taking addwise OD and attendrol in the morning, addwise normal in the afternoon.and dolamite in the night. after taking dolamit his anger has reduced
9) I have trained him in tennis,swimming, music, instrumental music(violin) karate
but nowdays he is notcooperating to come to the classes.He likes very much to play violin but he won’t practice till last year i pushed him to send but now he is notcooperating. it issame in the studies. this year he has performed very poor and somehow he has written the exam. he doedn’tany motivation to do things. i donot know to which gruop to select he is intelligent and have skill.any medicine for him.
I am much worried about his future.

My son aged 13 years is suffering from Hyperactivity and Impulsivity (2) Inattentiveness….He has a history of seizures about 6 yrs ago . He was on oxetol 150 mg for 5 yrs and is perfectly fine as far as seizures goes but because of hyperactiveness and inattentiveness he is not able to perform well in school ..
