Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder ADHD
It is estimated that about 3-5 percent of all kids, have this disorder. Also the most unfortunate thing is that in many cases this disorder goes totally undiagnosed .The child is often mistaken as hyper-energetic kid or as just being more playful, but the reality is that many such kids suffer from a medical disorder known as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder or ADHD.
It is a common belief that only kids showing signs of physical hyperactivity have some problem related to this disorder. Well, this actually it is not the complete truth. Symptoms of consistent inattentiveness are also associated with this disorder. It is characterized by hyperactivity (physical), inattentiveness, and impulsivity

Kids having ADHD usually depict either of three patterns of behavior. Either they are more of the hyperactive type, which means that they are more physically hyperactive (constantly moving jumping running fidgeting squirming, having difficulty sitting in one place etc) or the ‘inattentive type’ (having difficulty in concentrating, easily distracted) or the ‘combined type’ (having symptoms of hyperactivity and inattention both).
Not all children who run and jump too much suffer from ADHD. It is very important to realize that for a child to be diagnosed with ADHD, certain criterion has to be met with also called as the DSM criteria, before a child can be said to be suffering from it.
Nobody exactly knows what causes ADHD. Recent researches point out the causes could be either neurobiological or genetical. Certain chemical levels in the brain have been found low (dopamine -a chemical that sends messages to the part of the brain involved in attention, movement and motivation). Increased levels of heavy metals (lead) in the body is also seen in some kids .The kind of parenting given to the child has no role in the causation of this disorder, although bad parenting can influence the severity of this disorder.
Implication of ADHD can have far reaching effects, with the schooling of the child taking the biggest hit. Poor performance in school due to ADHD can lead to a hampered self esteem in the child .ADHD can also lead to learning disabilities, defiant behavior ,conduct disorder(anti-social behaviour,stealing ,fighting), anxiety disorders and depression .
Severe forms of ADHD are difficult to differentiate from milder forms of autism, a careful approach is necessary in diagnosing and treating such forms. Such severe forms affect the child?s normal mental development .for example speech and cognitive skills can be markedly affected in such cases.

My name is Priya KAmble. my baby is gone through ADHD , he is now 2years 4 months, he is very sharp baby, he understands all colors , animals fruits, alphabets , vegs , transports, ets from early age, he wasn’t so aggressive but yes he get frustrated so quickly, his speech therapy is going on, my husband and in laws suggested to put him in Day care center and we have kept him in daycare, it was so difficult for him to settle down there and i was knowing that he needs me but we kept him there and slowly slowly he became so stubborn that he dont want to remove his shoes his cloths etc, and now 6 days back he was gone through fever and he recover from that but from past 4 to 5 days he is hitting himself more often without any reason. what should i do sir……plz help me plz

I am 30 years old and I feel I relate to a lot of the adhd symptoms, mainly extremely forgetful, leave tasks unfinished before moving to next one talking excessively, talking before the other person has completed what they want to say and more.

My 4 year old daughter has mild ASD and is now showing increased hyperactivity. The doctor has prescribed some medicines, which we are apprehensive about due to side effects. My son, M. N. Saai Deepakk is 5 years old now and is studying in UKG. We observed Hyperactiveness in him at his age of 3 years and started sending him for Occupational Theraphy and Speech Theraphy. Presently, he is 75% talking like a normal child. One week before we went for a pediatric psycology check up for him. The doctor suggested to stop the speech theraphy as he is now speaking clearly whatever he speaks and asked us to continue Occupational theraphy.
In school, there is only one complaint on him that is he is running out of the class room either to ground or II floor etc. When we asked for doctor’s advice, he recommended to give him tablet Axepta 10 mg daily in the morning after breakfast which will make him to sit in class room quietly. But his occupational theraphist is of the opinion that this said tablet should not be given to him that it will cause side effects and he told better to improve him in training only.
Keeping the above in view, I request you to please suggest your opinion on homeopathy treatment and how it will improve my child.

My son is 15 years old and in class IX. He is hyperactive, always jumps and move, cannot seat in a place for long; exceptional is watching TV or working on computer – still this may not sometimes go beyond one hour. During study, it is unbelievable that he spends only 10 minutes at a stretch. He does not like to read aloud, read silently. He is however talkative. These symptoms are noticed since his childhood. And, in contrast secure 85-90% scores in exams, perhaps this is because of his strong memory as well as current exam system of MCQ or objective type questions.
Yet he has good communication skill, as his teachers always give such compliment.
He is now moving to higher class, which need study of subjects with proper attention. I am worried of his lack of concentration.
Other thing is that he argues with his elders very badly.
(Note : he is scared of dog; he dreams of many things, wake up from sleep with seeing frightening things; he had an injury on his back side of head by hitting cricket ball when he was just 70 days of age)

My daughter 11 year old, she is slow in activity , fickle mind, not sitting in one place stable, concentration lapses , instant get angry
So she growth retarded even height she lower as compare to father and mother.
Our worry how can her slow mind get normal like other girls
One thing is clear sometime she in understanding but lapses in concentration.
