COME winter and it is time for all the cold-related illnesses. Sinusitis happens to be one of them. Although its occurrence is not always related to cold and can happen any time of the year, for those who are sensitive to the least chill in the air, sinusitis may be just round the corner. Homeopathic treatment can be of great help to those who suffer from sinusitis often during winter.
Sinusitis is the inflammation of the sinuses (hollow spaces) in our skull. These hollow spaces are linked to the nose from inside. The anatomical presence of these cavities makes our skull light for our neck to bear it. Sinuses also provide the resonance to our tone when we speak. So, the presence of the sinuses is not a problem but it is their inflammation (sinusitis) that causes distress. Inflammation can be acute, recurrent or of chronic nature.
Sinuses are four sets of hollow spaces in our skull. All of these sinuses have the same lining that is present in our nose. This lining produces mucus which is drained out of these sinuses through an opening in the nose. During an attack of cold or allergies (mucous membranes start producing more mucus during cold, etc.) swelling in the nose and sinuses can cause the drainage from the sinuses to get blocked. This blockage leads to the trapping of mucus in the sinuses resulting in the growth of bacteria and viruses.
The symptoms
The symptoms of sinusitis depend upon the sinus that gets affected. The morning headache when one wakes up is typical of sinusitis: blocked sensation: in the nose, heaviness and pain in the facial bones and head may occur due to the underlying inflamed sinus. Inflammation in the sinuses that are present behind the bridge of the nose and in-between the eyes can lead to swelling in the eyelids and the tissues around the eyes. Inflammation in the maxillary sinuses can cause pain in the upper jaw and teeth.
Sinusitis may be accompanied by other symptoms of nasal congestion, runny nose, fever, tiredness and cough that may aggravate at night. Post-nasal dripping of mucus can cause problems in the throat too.
A correctly prescribed homeopathic medicine can be a great boon to those who suffer from sinusitis. Homeopathic treatment aims at rebuilding one’s immunity towards such attack. CT scan of PNS was performed by taking 2.5mm thin coronal slices.
Findings: Frontal and ethmodal sinuses appear normal on both sides.
Focal polypoidal mucosal retension cyst noted in the floor of left maxillary antrum. No other focal mucosal thicening noted in rest of the maxillary antra.
Sphenoidal sinuses appear normal.
No focal srosion or bone destruction noted.
Nasal cavity shows bilateral hypertrophied turbinates & mucosal thickening being more marked on left side having bilateral concha bullosa (much more prominent on left side) producing shift of septum to right with a spur on right side causing obstruction to bilateral nasal air passages.
What shall I do to control and avoid nasal congestion and headache due to sinus?

I Santosh was suffering from sinus from last 2 years when it was getting worse I went to ent doctor who advised for endoscopy surgery and after surgery the mucus which was removed by endoscopy surgery was sent to lab for testing which was detected as a maxillary adroid cystic carcinoma now i am getting treated by tata hospital mumbai it’s been three months i am not on medication or any therapy I am advice for surgery were I am on thyronom medicine of thyroid to be in level for surgery.

i had affected by sinusitis 4 years ago. initially it effected in winter season only. later it gradually increased and it troubles me in rainy season also.
i used to take English medicine at inception of my sinusitis but it had gave me relief for that particular season. later i shifted to homeopathy and i had taken 3 months course twice. but it couldn’t give relief at the end of winter season which is severe for me and unease to take breath so i shifted back to English medicine once again. now recently sinus has evolved to Asthma and i used in healer one month. now i want to use homeopathy once again. is it advisable to shift once again english to homeopathy. if yes please suggest me what medicines i have to use

i had sinusities from 4years. First year i took english medicine just gave temproray relief for that seasion (end of the rainy seasion&winter).next year i complete 3 months homeopathy medicine but i didnt had any relief in that winter . so i was changed to english medicine once again. 6 months back my sinus problem converted to asthma i used inheller one month also . i used so many antibiotics and nosal drops , only nosal drop give jsut 30 minutes relief
