It is now an accepted fact that homeopathy works miraculously for skin disorders, and skin allergies are very effectively treatable with homeopathic medicines. Atopic dermatitis is a chronic skin disorder categorised by rashes that itch and are of a scaly nature. People with this kind of skin allergy often have a family history of allergic conditions like asthma, nasal allergy, or eczema. It is more common in infants, and 50 per cent of all cases are all-right okay by the age of three years. In adults it is a chronic problem that keeps coming back. The symptoms include intense itching, blisters, rashes more on face, behind the knees, folds of the skin, etc. The most common allergens are eggs, peanuts, milk, fish, soy products, and wheat, dust mites, mold and pollen.
Contact dermatitis is a kind of skin allergy where the reaction develops when the skin comes in contact with the allergens (allergy causing substances) or the irritants.

Hello, Dr. Sharma, I have been taking a variety of pain medications for over two years, due to a severe back injury. Two weeks after starting vicodin, I developed an itchy rash. The Dr. and I didn’t attribute it to opiods/opiates until months later, when I desperately googled and found a description of an opioid allergy akin rash “Erethema Multiforme”. They were biopsied and only showed excoriation; but the Dr. wouldn’t accept the idea that it was Multiforme. But I have found photos of it that look just like it, at various stages. After mostly quiting opioids last August, the rash stopped developing, but the spots didn’t heal. I needed to stop pain flare-ups with the opioids about 2x/week, so that might have been part of the cause. Recently, I have had to quit the Gabapentin I had switched to and have gone back to using the opioids, but only about one dose/day. I take Zyrtec, which helps a little, but the rash is still getting worse. Do you have an suggestions? Thanks

I seem to have a sun allergy. I do not want to go to the doctor for corticosteriods. I know about staying out of the sun, protection, etc. My mother was also told she has a sun allergy although hers is confined to the area around her eyes. Mine is on my chest, and as it worsens, up my neck. This is very limiting because my family and I like to spend a lot of time in the sun over the summer. I know to experiment with different sun blocks, Ithink I will try the Neutrogena formula for sensitive skin and see what happens. I am wondering about other ways to deal with this, maybe a nutrition deficit that can be addressed? What are your thoughts? Thank you
My husband has some kind of allergy that creates swelling on his face. Sometimes one eye swells up, sometimes his upper lip, sometimes one side of his face, sometimes his lower lip. Occcasionally, he has had a few large hives on his trunk. We thought it was fruit at first, but he had another reaction last night. No fruit or fruit products were injested to his knowlede. He is 68 years old and has never had allergy issues. They have increased and over the past eight months, he has had no less than ten episodes. This first began in 1999. At that time, we attributed it to liquid smoke products and after about five episodes it went away completely until fall of last year, 2012. The swellings on his face are significant and he does not want to leave the house. It takes about two days to subside (he is taking over the counter Benadryl).

I have skin related query. I have developed itching in my hand and feet palms for past two years. When I showed it to Dermatologist, he prescribed 100 tablets of Alaspan.
itching goes away when i eat the medicine for a day, however if I dont take it for two days, itching comes back. Is Alaspan the only way, it has its sideeffects. For how long would i have to take it. Is there any desi alternative for this.

My dauther is 8 years old and she has white spots on her face, elbows, and knees. It started on her face then it spread to her elbows and knees and now is spreading up her legs and arms . I washed her in selen blue. I put coconut oil and aloe on her skin. Need help she is becoming very sad. I took her to the dermatologist and had blood work done they said everything was normal. Dematologist prescribed her protopic but it was to expensive to purchase. Please help me with this matter.

Hi, My concern is I am experiencing skin itching any time in a day at any part of the body from last 5 months approx. I tried to avoid the itching but unable to control. Even some times I did’nt itch still I get the red marks on my face then after some time they swell gives lining patches in red colour. The important thing is it can happen at any time any where like on face, hips, on back, on hand, on neck.
