The instant reaction when a person has a blocked nose is to ingest over-the-counter pills or take a nasal spray/nasal decongestant, but these offer temporary relief. It can effectively treat causes of nasal blockages like allergies, cold, sinus infections, nasal polyps, hypertrophy of nasal turbinates, and enlarged adenoids. Once the underlying cause is targeted, relief sets in and gradually one gets cured.
Individualized treatment
These medicines are not administered based on one symptom. In fact, a complete case study is done to select the right medicine to get rid of the problem. The medicine is chosen after analysing the characteristic symptoms in each individual case. The symptoms that are taken note of are the following: Which nostril is blocked, the time of the day when the blockage is maximum, peculiar worsening and relieving factors, any accompanying symptoms like nasal discharges, the type of nasal discharge, sneezing, headache, and postnasal drip. Individualized prescriptions lead to wonderful recovery in cases of nasal blockage.
Homeopathy is safe and natural
Homeopathic medicines for treating a stuffy, blocked nose are prepared from naturally obtained substances. Due to this reason, these medicines are 100 per cent safe and effective. These medicines are suitable for persons of all age groups. These medicines work gently in the most harmless way in cases of a blocked nose.

3. Further causes includessinusitis (inflammation of tissue lining the paranasal sinuses) and hypertrophy of nasal turbinates (the enlargement of bony structures inside the nose).
4. Enlarged adenoids (the enlargement of the tissue present at the junction of the back of the nose and throat) are an important cause of blocked nose in kids. (The nose can be blocked and alternately there may be nasal discharge. Some other symptoms may also accompany like sneezing, headache, post nasal discharge, cough, loss of smell depending on the cause).
Dietary and Lifestyle Recommendations

2. In individuals prone to allergies, reduce excessive dairy and cold beverages as they might worsen mucus production.
3. Ensure adequate protein intake to help in tissue repair and immune balance.
4. Incorporate natural anti-inflammatory foods such as turmeric and ginger.
5. Maintain regular sleep patterns to support immune regulation.
6. Engage in moderate physical activity to improve circulation and reduce inflammation.
7. Practice stress management techniques, as chronic stress may worsen allergic and inflammatory responses.
8. Perform steam inhalation when needed to relieve nasal blockage.
9. One can use saline nasal rinses to help clear mucus.
10. Avoid known triggers such as dust, smoke, pollution, and strong fragrances.
11. Monitor and maintain adequate Vitamin D levels for better immune health.
12. Maintain proper hydration to keep nasal secretions thin and promote drainage.

Hello, I had a hurt on my left nose 2 years back in 2014. I did not feel anything immediately. After few days I felt a kind of fluid was passing through the place I got hurt and nothing was coming out. Few weeks later my nose started to block even for light breeze. In 2014 July I moved to London and I felt very difficult to even breathe during most of the time. I came back in Jan 2015 and showed to a doctor and he mentioned it is due to dust. But I don’t think it is dust. Even now at night suddenly my nose blocks and I get thin colourless mucus. This is spooling my night and day but I want to treat this with some natural remedy. Hello doctor. My daughter is 4 yrs old. She suffers from recurrent nasal blockage followed by dry irritating cough which worsens while sleeping esp at night. At times the dry cough then becomes moist n her paediatrician says there is slight wheezing due to which she needs to take levolin or asthalin pump. But even that also does not help much. Her cold cough tendency along with frequent tonsillitis at times associated with fever is troubling her a lot. She has suffered from pneumonia at the age of 1.5 yrs. After this her chest seems to have become weak or rather her immunity is weak. Please advise what to do. Thank you . kishwar sultana.

Anytime I have something cold or the weather gets rainy or moist I get a running nose n sneezing in early morning .This lasts up to three days mostly without me taking any medication. I usually don’t prefer meds for cold. But this time I have some sort of puffiness on my right cheek. I don’t feel any sort of pain or anything but my right cheek feels chubbier than my left cheek It’s been a week since I have been feeling this difference initially I thought it was due to my cold n would go away with it but it’s still there.
