Chronic sinusitis is a condition in which the sinuses inside our skull become inflamed for months and years together. This condition can considerably reduce ones quality of life. Patients suffering from chronic Sinusitis complain of difficulty in breathing from nose, headaches, pain and tenderness in the face.
Yellow greenish discharges may also be present from the nose and also from the back of the throat. In most cases, this kind of chronic inflammation in the sinuses is caused by underlying allergic reactions to pollen, pet dander, and dust mites, smoke etc. Homeopathic treatment of chronic sinusitis is very effective and has a strong edge over the conventional treatments. Sinuses are hollow spaces in our skull (bony structure of the head and the face). There are four pairs of sinuses in our skull. Symptoms of Chronic sinusitis resemble those of acute sinusitis, but usually last much longer and cause more fatigue. The main symptoms of chronic sinusitis are pain in the face and pressure in the areas of forehead, temples, cheeks, and nose and behind the eyes, discharge of a thick yellow or greenish discharge from the nose or down the back of the throat, obstructed and difficult breathing through the nose, diminished sense of smell or taste, frequent Headache (especially in morning), Teeth pain, Fatigue, Cough, and Sore throat.
As homeopathy is a symptom based system of medicine, the prescription is based upon the symptoms presented by the patient. Many symptomatic factors determine the choice of remedy .i.e. the type of discharges from the nose and throat, the sinus that is involved and other factors like the time of the year when this problem increases also its relation to weather. The main homeopathic medicines used for treating chronic sinusitis are Hydrastis, kali bichrome, Silicea and Merc Sol. Luffa Opercula requires a special mention for treating allergies and sinusitis both. Lemna Minor works well in cases where the sinusitis is complicated by nasal polyps.
At times the treatment of underlying allergy may also require a totally different set of medicines. Prescription based on the detailed study of the patient’s physical and mental makeup (which is also called as constitutional prescribing) is at times required to cure the allergy from the base.

it seems so many patients with asininities problem, mine is little different or may b same. its been 2006 i am suffering this problem, back in 2008 i did Septoplastic nose surgery in Hyderabad, but after sometime the problem is back and this time very severe, with lot of irritation and dis-appointment i have stop taking treatment from 3, 4 years, only sometimes take antibiotic or chest and cold tablets.

Dear Doctor, I have permanent headache, from right side, feeling of heaviness on my right side of my head, this has been for almost 7 years none stop. i feel sleepless and lack of appetite, I was complaining of Sinus long time, did two sinus surgery i was complaining of the same symptoms and nothing had changed or headache reduced but when i went to ENT specialist am told that ENT is fine while i am suffering from pressure and heaviness on my right side of the head. I feel fatigue and tired all time.I had brain CT and the result was okay, I need to consult you for help and possible. I feel there is drip from the back of the nose, pain all time and smell bad all time. When I use antibiotic for one week I feel better but repeat again. I need help.
Dear Dr. Sharma: I have had sinusitis for two years. My symptoms are chronic stuffy nose, inability to move air in or out of my left nare, headache, teeth pain, feeling of heaviness in my head, sneezing, burning eyes and a chronic runny nose (watery) and post nasal drip (thick, viscous, clear ). Hi dr. Sharma hope ur doin good. I have an illness which i dont know what to call. Sinusitus, allergic rhinitis or non allergic rhinitis. I am 32yrs now. It has made my life terrible. I think i have had it since childhood but since i did not tend to it, it has taken a toll on my body. The problem is, ever since i can remember, when i wake up in the morning when i take my breakfast and soon after that especially when i consume any type of liquid, hot or cold, my nose starts to run like a tap and i start sneezing and sneez more than ten times before the episode is over. At the end of this, quite a good amount of mucous comes out of the nose amd eyes release water and this has happened everyday for more than 15 years. Now most of my hair has become gray. I have fallen in deppression. I get irritative now most often. My body has fallen to general weakness. I have dandruff. I get lots of headaches. Weak bones. And many more problems. And this sinus attack happens most often in the morning. If i eat the same things in breakfast during lunch not reaction will occur. Its like a morning factor. What do u suggest doctor sharma. Plz help.
Dear Doctor ,the symptoms are pain in the jaw and facial muscle and behind the year , reaching the temple,reaching the head at night ,discharge of thick yellow with bad taste and foul smell, feeling depressed This problem started this winter only .

I’ve had blocked sinus and constant post nasal drip for over a month. Could that make me feel dizzy or light-headed? I took an antibiotic for a few days but it didn’t agree with me so I discontinued it.

I am Siva Rama Krishna L. suffering from sinusitis for years where in which I have constant dripping of greenish phlegm into throat, dust allergic, sneezing with slight dust, cloudy vision in the morning, pain on both sides of nose, foul smell while breathing, blocking of nose. Not only this I have bleeding and receding gums, bad breath, constant oozing of saliva, blood in sputum most of the times. Not able to move or talk with anyone. I like hot tea. Cold bath since childhood. Like blue most. Like white and purple even. Only light colors. Blanket while sleeping in all seasons.

I am from uae and have sinusitis mostly in winter season..
