ULCERATIVE COLITIS (UC) is a disease in which the lining of the large intestine (colon) becomes inflamed. This inflammation leads to the formation of raw sores, or ulcers, causing pain and bloody diarrhea. UC usually begins gradually with bloody diarrhea, rectal bleeding, cramps or pain in the belly, and growing urgency to move the bowels. Depending on which area of the colon is affected, the stool may be normal or hard and dry.
Other symptoms may be fever, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, anaemia from loss of blood, pus in the stool, malnutrition and slow growth in children.
UC can also affect parts of the body outside the colon, causing skin sores, mouth sores, joint pain, and inflammation of the eyes, the liver, the kidneys or the gallbladder.
Homeopathic medicines Merc Sol, Merc Cor, Sulphur and Phosphorus are a few of the important ones used in treating ulcerative colitis. The patient requiring Merc Sol has a continuous urge for passing stool and urine ? a never-get-done feeling. One often passes pure blood or bloody water. Symptoms asking for Merc Cor are nearly the same as those of Merc Sol; it is only the intensity which contributes to the selection. Merc Cor has more violent attacks, with a violent urge to pass stool and to urinate. Intense suffering follows. my mother is suffering from ulcerative colitis. we consulting to pant hospital in delhi and they have given medicines tab.mesalo od 1.2 gm, shelcal500 mg , folvite 5 mg , pentasa suppository 1 gm and mesalofoam enema. from a week she having all medicine but the condition is not improving. she is having pain in stomach and in rectum

My name is Naresh from hyd bad,. Im suffering with a problem of ulcerative colitis from last 4 months.
Before that dr. has advised me for a liver function test (LFT) in that Alkaline phosphatase was 540.
Gamma Glutanyl transferase(GGT) was 494,
Total bilirubin was 2.9,
Conjugated bilirubin was 0.7,
Unconjugated bilirubin was 2.2
The tablets which are given to me by the liver specialist are;
1. Mesocol 1200mg*
2. Ursocol 300mg*
3. Nusam 400mg*
4. Wysolone 10mg*
5. Folvite (Daily once)
*These tablets are to be taken twice daily.
How long should I continue the above tablets or Is there any other homeopathy for cure of my problem If yes I would like u to suggest for treatment and an another advie can I also take homeopathy with the prescripted tablets.

Mera nam NAND KISHORE h.Mai Nagpur me rahta hu. Mai 2010 se ulcerative colitis & hamurriod se paresan hu. Mai 40 saal ka hu. Pahle mucus ke sath blood & latrin patala 3-4 baar aata tha. Abhi 2 months se latrin thara hard aa raha h jiske karan latrin ke raste me inflammation, iching, pain & massa masur ke dal ke size ke barabar ka jama ho gaya h. Colonoscopy ke anusar bimari ractum & sigmod colon me h. Abhi stomach ke left side me ractum & sigmoid colon me kaphi inflammation, pain rah raha h jiske karan back pain bhi aa gaya h. Sir, i am suffering from colits from the list 25 years. all type of alopathic and homeopathic medine have already been tried for treatment but no result. one medicine called rifagut(refimaxin) helped me in inflammation of descending colon inflammation. after taking rifagut i feel better can eat many home made meals.

I am 56 year old male, married, height 5 foot 10 inch, weight 61 kg , from West Bengal and since past 20 years I have been suffering from lose motion with mucus 2-3 times in the morning and doctors prescribed it as IBS . Lastly, I have gone through treatment in Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Hyderabad All the test had been done like colonoscopy, colour Doppler scan test, all related blood test & hydrogen breath test but nothing found except ? Small intestinal Bacterial overgrowth in hydrogen breathe test.

Below is my problems which I face every day.

4. No taste in mouth.
5. Bloating in lower movements.
6. Excessive Gas.
7. No proper evacuation of stool.

Blood report:-HBsAg,spot- retroviral spot-negative,Vitamin B12 level-308 pg/ml,fasting blood sugar-94,total bilirubin-0.3 mg/dl, total cholesterol-116 mg/dl,triglycerides-256 mg/dl,
But after in taking aforesaid medicines for near about one and half month I did not recovered fully.Pl. help me.
